Forums - Microsoft - Windows 8.1 9374 walkthrough video

Neowin

With the leak of 9374, we expect to learn more about Microsoft's plans for Windows 8.1 which will debut later this year, but before that happens, we have a walkthrough of the build that will show you some of the early changes to the platform.

Seeing that the last leak was 9369, this build is likely very similar to 9369 and may not show many new major features. But, even though the builds are relatively close together, there are a few new items for you to sink your teeth into and Winbeta.org has compiled a video for your viewing pleasure.

I still, to this day, don't understand why you can run legacy programs in windows in the Metro UI. Having programs forced into the secondary desktop is stupid.

because "legacy" programs were designed for that use. if they want to update them for metro they can. as more metro apps are made just replace the legacy ones with them.

Except, that's not the case.  Executables can be executed from the command line, the desktop isn't necessary.  On another note, all Metro apps have to be full screen...

Is this a joke post? The video has been removed.

Hm, looks like I will stay with ClassicShell. What do we need a start button for if it doesn't serve its original purpose?
