Targaryens wed brothers and sisters for 300 years to keep the bloodline pure. Icelanders have done it for over 1000 years apparently, lol. Their bloodline must be crystal pure.

Or conversely half of them have been driven mad...

...so help us if Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull is merely part of the fourteen fires where the dragons rest.

But the other half might one day become decent to great rulers!

Wrong thread.

As Joe the Bro said second cousins are not at risk of having genetic defects more than the average population if they fornicate. That stated, you got all kinds of willing males to diversify Icelandick genetic code here. I can add some Mexican, Finnish, Native American, German, Irish, Dutch etc. just in my one sperm load.

Good idea. Incest is no fun when it's unintentional.

Indeed.  I could see this app being very popular in Japan, only for opposite reasons.

"She's your 2nd cousin!  Gambatte!"

Makasete!!!

There's only 320k of them? damn thought they were atleast 1 million :)

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

If you did concieve with a "second cousin" as the article says, the risk of genetic abnormality is minimal. It's about as bad as waiting to age 30 to concieve, which many women do these days.

The incest taboo is seriously outdated compared to the evidence.
