*SIGH* You're hell bend on refuting every single thing I say aren't you?

By DIFFICULTY, I mean the 4-month waiting period and having to re-download the content so it can be played online.

Better?

Do you not like it when people refute your biased, factually incorrect posts? Then don't make them.

If I trolled into a PS+ thread and said "LOL ur ps+ games only work online and if u change consoles then guess what gotta pay again LOL", I would expect a number of people replying correcting me. And I wouldn't be surprised if people who actually use PS+ replied laughing at the idea that I can read stuff on the Internet and get the same level of expertise as someone who actually uses the service.

Doesn't apply to me though, since I love my PS3 and use PS+.

i get the criticism to a point, for some people the benefits doesnt justify the cost, thats cool, as consumers we do that everyday on all our purchases, that part i dont like is the insults calling xbox live members microsoft sheep, saying things how they can be so dumb and not realize that they are getting ripped off, things like that, Nobody likes to have their intelligence insulted, its talk like that, that makes people get defensive and lead to battles

The hate is justified if the users who are hating on it are people who have an Xbox and have paid for Xbox Live and just hate the service and feel it isn't worth a 60$ price tag. But I don't feel that's case here, though I may be wrong.

Hate is a strong word, but I do have a 360 and I had live gold for the first year. I Just don't game online that much so I didn't think it was worth keeping it. Escpecially since it didn't go all that well the first year. Headset quality was disappointing with everything I said echo'd back to me, bought a new headset, didn't help. I only played 4 games online that year. COD2, didn't really like the online. PGR3 for some reason I could only talk to one of my friends during the race while the rest were muted. TDU 4 out of 5 online races would disconnect when launching a race, incompatible NAT type. GeoW didn't like the people online, co-op with friends turned out to be quite boring when not playing local in the same room, not as much fun.

After that I slowly got back into online gaming on ps3, Burnout paradise, F1GP, Resistance 2 8 player Co-op, GT5, NFS hp and most wanted mainly. I try online for many more games but over the years those are the only games I've played online for more then a couple of sessions. So with a 95/5 split for local and online gaming I don't see the value in xbox live.

At least make it free to sample online games. For example I bought Forza Horizon, single player was good. But didn't feel like subscribing to gold just to try out a couple of online racers to find out if the online community was nice. Instead I traded it in afer completing the single player and got NFS most wnated on ps3 where the online turned out the be quite fun without any extra hassle.

Don't waste your time. At this point it's clear unless you post nothing but positive for Sony and say Xbox Live is a horrible rip off you are automatically a biased poster whose opinion can't be taken seriously.

and people wonder why there is almost zero activity in the Xbox forums here.

microsoft does something like that, for example this weekend gold is free, they been doing this several times a years for a while now, there are also many deal on systems where you get xbox live gold free for a month giving you a sample to see if its worth it

And do you think Steam's Big Picture mode wouldn't work better if Steam was primarily meant for TVs? Besides, for what Steam is primarily meant for, it's very stable. If it was built for TVs from the beginning, you wouldn't experience those crashes. You saying Steam is bad because its TV mode crashes is like me saying XBL is bad because I can't use it on PC. Steam at least on the same level as a service on its primary platform compared to XBL yet it's free. Do you have anything to say about instead of circling around my point.

PC gaming in general can often be unstable compared to consoles. Not just big picture. Anyhow, I'm just pointing out consoles are more simple for the masses.

I don't think Steam is on the same level. Valve doesn't operate the servers for online gaming on 3rd party games. It doesn't offer Netflix either!

Since when are either of those two posters considered neutral?

What I was about to say.

Really? Coming from you? I believe he's more neutral then you are.

They are not. I consider myself neutral though, although you could cherrypick a number of my posts and say I am biased. Ben recently said he disliked PS fans the most which is of course a bias. I do not really care either way, I just try to use facts.

Give Playstation fans an opportunity to piss and moan about Xbox Live and they'll always take it.

Even at $60 a year, Xbox Live is a very cheap entertainment expense. But so many people can't seem to do the math.

Money isn't the issue. I'm sure everyone can afford it(even though for many it means one less game they can buy a year)

It doesn't mean you have to get less games. Just get a second job to pay for your Live account.

Now Ive seen many on this and other forums bashing Live and saying it has nothing on Playstation Plus but subscriptions and userbase certainly say otherwise.

I think you're one of the best and least biased users on VGC, but I strongly disagree with this view.

I know I probably sound like a broken record, but sales really don't equal quality. Also, in my humble opinion, the reason 360 and Live are successful is the fact that they became very popular very fast.

Take my landlord's son for example. He was contemplating buying a ps3 over 360 for its exclusives and after some serious thinking decided to go with the ps3. I gave him some of my video games (such as LBP and even killzone, since he's an fps fan) and he had a blast (according to his dad). Fast forward a few months later, he sold his ps3 and all his games and got a 360. Why? Cuz all his friends had live. That was the one and only reason according to his dad. In other words, he didn't choose it because of smooth online or cross game chat, but in order to play COD on live, because of his friends. I firmly believe that that's the case with most people, not just with 360, but any popular product (I don't think iphones are that good, but still sell amazing compared to other devices with equal or arguably better features).
