I don't doubt it will bomb...Lost Planet 2 was sucked dry of any cool elements that the first one had so if they are building on that, I wish them good luck.

I do think these low sales are just indicative of gaming in general. Like the numbers that GoW and GOW have put up are pathetic... I am part of the problem too. I didn't buy Gears...I would personally rather play Gravity Guy 2 on my windows phone than Gears of War.


How are the numbers for both the GoW's pathetic, did you expect two prequels with poor marketing/advertisement releasing at the end of the generation to compare with the end of the trilogies? Is it even possible to be so naive, you obviously don't know what you're talking about and come across as a pompous and ignorant.

Firstly, God of War: Ascension sold 1 million copies in a month, tell me, how many games in the genre outside of the God of War franchise have achieved that? Any of the DMC games? No. Any of the Ninja Gaiden games? No. Any of the Dynasty Warriors games? No. Dante's Inferno? No. Bayonetta? No. Heavenly Sword? No. Darksiders 1/2? No. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow? No. Only one game in the genre sold on par during its first month and that's Metal Gear Rising on PS3 + 360 which was only because of the name, it's doing horrendously now that people know what it's all about so not even that will sell half of what God of War: Ascension will lifetime.

And Gears of War: Judgment did horribly compared to other Gears of War games, but outside of the franchise how many games in the genre have ccome close to 1 million in 3 weeks? Not many at all.

So if God of War: Ascension and Gears of War: Judgment put up 'pathetic' sales then what about the other 90%+ of other franchises in both genres? Is everything in the hack 'n slash genre than can't sell 1.4M+ first week and over 6 million lifetime like God of War III pathetic? Is every TPS that releases after Gears of War 3 that can't sell over 3 million first week pathetic? No. If you want to know what game really did put up pathetic sales look to no other than your beloved DmC which bombed spectacularly and the majority despise.
