Maybe in BI, but I don't BS1 was any more open than BS2. But I really don't remember that much about the first two games, but I don't think there was much of any exploration to be had. Maybe, BI does have a bit more exploration to offer, but the levels are so boring, and short, I can't think of a good reason to go back looking for anything. I got that Key and I sure as hell am not going to go look for what it opens - if I run into it along the way then fine.

BioShock all the places is opened to be explorer... you can go back to the first room every time... BioShock 2 is level based, one level per time, finish it then go to the next... you can never go back to previous levels.

BioShock permit you even near the last boss go back to the first level to make some misson you didn't or get some secret that needs a weapon or plasmid that you just found in the last level.

Yeap... BioShock have a better replay value.

Hmm, OK, i'll take your word for it this time - no need to post a video.

Well the devs just didn't want more work because they said the amout of word to do that in the first BioShock was immense.

"A lot of people don't know this, but the amount of backtracking most players physically did in BioShock was minimal. The amount of effort that went into supporting it was immense. We came down to having to choose between supporting backtracking and much more interesting, readable features ...and decided to invest in things we thought people would actually notice. We also got some knock-on benefits like shorter loading times because of the way the memory was structured once backtracking was no longer an issue."

For me was a step back for the franchise and like BioShock 2 is not make by the main team... I think a lazy work. Kevin Levine and the main BioShock team will have mantaim everythink that makes the first title great for sure.

I'm about half way through; I'm right after trying to save the weapon smith (story makes you do that 3 times...). I haven't played on hard so take that into consideration. But I agree, the game's overrated. God of War: Ascensions got flak for being the most strategic and refined of the series, yet Bioshock Infinite gets a pass for being a very easy shooter? There's no enemy strategy. The A.I. is terrible. They barely try to avoid you, they don't try to flank you, they just stay stationary shooting at you. Only the bigger enemies try to mow you down. It's very disappointing from that regard.

Story so far is "good", nothing special, nothing bad. The part that I'm currently at really drags things down (the gunsmith part). You're literally no farther off after the section than you were before it. That entire section was poorly thought out, just to give you an idea of Elizabeth's powers, could have been completely reworked or at least streamlined.

Setting is fantastic; Columbia is gorgeous. It's a pleasure walking around an area trying to find things, scavenging for money, opening locks. This was well thought out and makes for a great break in between gun fights.

Bioshock: Infinite is an average shooter surrounded by good ideas. I rate it as above average and worth the 60 dollars. Game of the year material though? No, I had more fun with God of War.

As far as shooters  go, it his one of the more  fun one's. I wouldn't call it perfect.NO game is. It blows Cryis3 out of the water in the gameplay department. I also find it more interesting than the first 2 Bioshocks.

Nope it is not that good. The game is great, 8/10 at most; but not 9-10/10. I think Bioshock is overhyped.

Bioshock 1 was better for me.

Yep, it's my favorite game of the year. Actually my favorite of the last two years. I really cared for the characters. Story was engaging. Gameplay parts got repetitive, but I played it more for the story. Ending was amazing. Columbia was stunning. Explored a lot. Music was great.

Overall, it was a 9.8 for me. Docked .2 for repetitive shooting sections, but it was easy to look past.

Oh brother! - and I was hoping the game wouldn't/couldn't possibly get more boring.

Played a bit more just now, it gets a lot better.  It's just that they shouldn't have done what they did to get to where I am.

Yup. The greatest shooter I have ever played and one of the greatest games ever created.

With the popularity of shooters like CoD, Crysis, Killzone, Battlefield, among others, it's refreshing to see something so beautiful and magnificent.

The graphics are FAR better than the ones from aforementioned games, it's artistic and stylish and gives the game personality. The music is really fitting and the story and characters are top notch. The world is a joy to explore and it's a wonderful experience overall.

Many people have issues with the gameplay, but it works perfectly for me. The shooting is reduced and you can focus on melee combat with the use of Vigors if you want to, it's much more exciting that way. Plus, you get the awesome SkyHook combat to shake things up. They also made auto recovery make sense, which was a very welcome addition.

I'ts a great game but overated by some.

If you say it's a excelent game, fine, but when ppl say it's the best FPS of all time or the best game of the generation, they are overating it.

Or they have a different opinion than you

I'm sorry, I thought it was implied that this was my opinion. I'll make sure to add ''imo'' at the end of my posts from now on, just for you.
