Twin Snakes is cool it's fantastic like the original, but the Ps1 version is a bit better, to me it had more emotion and better endings than TS.

The game's crap, especially the soundtrack, its just sound notes repeated (tick tick tick tock) instead of the memorable MGS music

some of the stuff is ridiculous too like snake riding on a rocket.

its not atmospheric like the original too, feels like a hollywood blockbuster, like uncharted and such.

really? I never played the psx version..so would this be a problem for someone like myself?

Don't listen to him, he's being over critical.

The gameplay is even better than the PS1 version. It tells the same story as the original game as well. Granted, some of the changes made in cutscenes are over the top and dumb. But its still a more enjoyable game.

Kind of nice to see it with graphics like Metal Gear Solid 2, though it has some performance issues and the MGS2 mechanics breaks the first boss battle.

I just wish Kojima stayed faithful to the original's games cutscenes. The crap Snake does in Twin Snakes leaps over the 'WTF' line for me.

^ Well HK didn't do it - that was all Silicon Knights. Hideo wanted them to realize their vision, so the deviations were all on them. MGS PS1 > MGS TS as a result, despite the technological limitations of the PS1 relative to the GC.

Just bought it on Ebay for $30, with shipping comes out to $35......Was it too much?

It's decent....I bought it for the same price couple years ago...only Im a huge MGS fan and this is a poor bastardization of the first game

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

I've heard differently:

The game was handled by Silicon Knights while the cutscenes were handled in Japan. I recall reading that the original cutscenes were faithful to the original game and Kojima rejected them because he wanted them to be more action packed.

Would like to maybe double check on that and know which was the actual story.

Unliked most MGS fans, I loved Twin Snakes. I would buy a Wii U immediately if it was remade for it.

What I read was not unlike Ninja Theory and Capcom with respect to DmC. The initial content was not seen as ideal because it was too similar to the source material, and instead HK wanted them to make the game in their own vision as opposed to mimicking what he did with the first game. But you can always double check and share your findings.

You paid a bit much. Just last week I actually bought the PS1 version of MGS in mint condition for 15$. But in the end who cares. You got a great game. And you paid so that you can enjoy a new experience. I paid to have a physical nostalgic reminder of something I played a long time ago. I also paid 40$ for the gamecube zelda collector's edition (LOZ1 and 2, OoT, MM)
