somehow i didn't see you having an issue with the constant articles declaring the next xbox as the undesputed winner of the next gen ( not at all long ago ) even though we knew nothing about it, nintendo's plans going forward or what sony's plans were

Just because it turned out te be completely false doesn't mean the prediction itself was poor. If someone made a prediction back then that it'd be Wii>360>PS3 then it would've been claimed to be a very poor prediction.

Like any analyst, their predictions aren't perfect. In fact, many abide by the 51% rule; if you get at least 51% of your predictions right, you're a good analyst.

Getting the full picture in 2008 on how the consoles will sell is a lucky guess. Not more.


Wii U could theoretically still outsell the Wii if something unpredictable happens. Xbox 360 could outsell Wii or sell less than PS3 or more PS4 could sell 200 Million LTD and Durango 500 Million.

Ofcourse its rediculous now what people said in 2008 but in hindsight its easy to talk.

It is, why I don't give a **** about them - it can be funny to predict sales of a system or a game but this prediction to me sounds just too biased. Of course that's only my opinion based on my impression when I read this text: ps3 will "crush" 360, sony's "impressive list of 1st party" doesn't sound like an objective prediction. But after all you judge with your glasses, I do with mine.
