So basically they still managed to add almost $2 billion in debt even after selling those two huge buildings? WTF ... they're like a debt magnet or something.

Long-term debt... they removed ~$2 billion from the short-term debt that is what was killing the company right now.

Now they really needs to improve the things in the not profiable divisions.

But the shot term debt was removed mostly by the sale of those buildings right? So basically they really haven't done much but trade some real estate for short term debt relief and are still piling on their long term debt.

"Need to improve the not profitable divisions" is kind of like saying Lindsay Lohan is doing fine, she just needs to stop all that drug stuff.

FY 13 FCT PSP/PSV 5.0 Million. Wow.

This is basically an admission that Sony is giving up on the Vita it seems like. Even Nintendo is putting on brave face for Wii U. Time to focus on the PS4, it looks like.

You mean they will drop Vita? Sadly it never took off although hardware is quite ok. I think Sony will continue to sell Vita and wait whether PS4 can help its sales but I doubt it will help the handheld. Sony has no chance of winning in the handheld-discipline, it's Nintendo's world.

@ethomaz Sorry I have to respond like this I'm on a mobile device, lol. Alright so GT 5 sold 1,500,000 copies for 2012 which averages around 27,696 copies a week. Take the 12 weeks of October, November, December we have around 332,352 so I'll add that to PD's numbers which is Now 9,522,352 now add VGC's 2013 numbers and we have 9,824,560. So my first estimate is definitely off, so more or less this is a rough estimate. You have to figure VGC's numbers are off it has the GT franchise clocked in at around 66 million while PD's site says 68.

So more or less 10,000,000 GT5 copies sold/shipped isn't to far fetched.

These 10 million projection for the next fiscal year will put PS3 sales close to my prediction for 115m.

My PS3 2013 prediction: 87.5m shipped.

Anybody care to explain:

"Sales decreased 12.2% year-on-year (a 15% decrease on a constant currency basis) to 707.1 billion yen (7,522
million U.S. dollars). Sales to external customers decreased 22.5% year-on-year. This significant decrease was
primarily due to a decrease in unit sales of PlayStation®3 (“PS3”) hardware and PSP® (PlayStation Portable)
(“PSP”) hardware
and software, as well as PlayStation®Vita (“PS Vita”) hardware, partially offset by the favorable
impact of foreign exchange rates."

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Erm, sounds like they sold fewer PS3s + PSPs and Vita sold poorly, but the lower sales were offset somewhat by a dropping yen.

Well PS3 and PSP decreased the sales compared to last year... I mean Sony shipped 13.9m PS3 last year and they are prediction 10m for the next year.

I think is safe to say Sony shipped 11-13 million PS3 this year... down yoy ~15% and not 30-40% like VGC shows.
