When this game does not do huge numbers first week. Me beg all you people not say it was over hyped and under performed.

Just look at the people who make these threads about sales. These people who are making these threads will be the same ones who are saying this game was hyped through the roof and the sales are going to break records but never made it.

It will be a success and for a new ip i thinkit will have an astounding first week.  Anything above 400k and Ill be happy with it

I know thats what I thought. (sort of I know its more complicated than that). I'm excited for this, and I wasn't, (still haven't bought) UC3.

It won't. New IP, gen is ending, Uncharted has already 3rd iteration and made itself good reputation. Last of Us has to show how good the game actually is and how appealing it is to gamers. Releasing PS4 this year won't help the game either.

Red Dead Redemption (even on 360 alone)

I can tell you that my customers have been more excited for the last of us than they ever were for uncharted. I think people get more excited for new IP's by familiar developers than for sequels of familiar series'.

honestly I've never been an Uncharted fan, I watched my roommate play all of the all the way through, thoroughly enjoyed watching, but I thought game play was rather boring.. and I feel like people were satisfied after 2, like a third one wasn't really necessary, and people knew what to expect, so the hype level was down.

I am 90% sure this is because the game was delayed and the pre-order charts don't know how to deal with delayed games until they get round to making adjustments. But I suppose we'll see.

I hope it does well either way.

This game will do very good numbers.

yeah I like that people are starting to identify games as ND games rather than games of a series.  I hope the mass audience starts to realize it's developers that make a game great not a name.
