RIP.

On a side note, do we know what the cause for his cancer was? I have a theory about Michael Bay movies...

I love how you got you profile Picture photoshop for Year of Luigi.

My favorite Luigi is the one from Super Mario Bros. Movie 1993 (Live Action).

Ironic that the other of my 2 favorite film critics would die in the same year as the premiere of the 3D Comic-Book Movie: R.I.P.D.

Roger Ebert is actually a pretty big hero of mine. I dare you to find a bad review that was ever written by the guy and when I say bad I don't mean " OMG ! I can't believe that he gave Garfield 3 stars!" bad. He could give you a scathing opinion on a film, but also give you an idea of what the film was like so you could decide whether or not it would be something that you might enjoy without ruining it. This is not an easy thing to do.

The thing that I admired the most about Mr. Ebert though was that his genuine love of film would come through in his reviews.

I had all kinds of difficulty writing one review a week for this site about movies that I actually like. How this guy could write several every week about every genre and keep them fresh is beyond me.

Mr. Ebert, you were a brilliant man and will be missed. R.I.P.
