This is the entire content of your "evidence":

"Square Enix has told VG247 that the 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII will ship on three DVDs in March.

The news comes after it was US retailer Gamefly listed the RPG at three discs overnight.

“Yes the game is on three DVDs for the 360,” a Square rep told us.

It was also confirmed to us that you’re not going to be doing too much ejecting during play.

“Players will only have to swap discs twice during their entire game,” said the rep.

Last year at gamescom, producer Yoshinori Kitase told VG247 Square was “aiming” to get keep the magic number at three.

The title was announced for 360 by the president of Square Yoichi Wada in July 2008 at E3.

Final Fantasy XIII will release in the west for PS3 and 360 on March 9."

Please bold the text that says the game was striped down for the Xbox 360 version.

I'm saying that i presented it throughout this little FF13 discussion, not just this 1 link

honestly, the only people who STILL can't seem to figure this out are either pro Xbox guys or people who dont want to see M$ in some sort of a "negative" light

...

Stating something doesn't make it fact. You have made a lot of claims, but you have to back them up with facts and sources. The source you gave is the link I quoted above and it is not evidence to support your claims.

What you have is an opinion. An opinion that you believe in strongly, but an opinion that others can disagree with.

yea yea yea

i know everything i said is just my "opinion" and you dont have to believe it lol XD

but yea you can continue to scratch the bottom of the barrel all you want and act like i'm sooOOOOooo wrong.

I dont care.. do what you want..

Beautiful Katamari and Katamari Forever are exclusive to their platforms, not multiplat.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Even if what you said is true, it doesen't portray MS in a negative light. It portrays Square Enix in a negative light for letting the Xbox changing what they wanted to create.

FF fans haven't been happy with the series since FFX (2001). People weren't happy with 11, 12, or 14. But 13 is the only game with a scapegoat for Sony fans.

you are correct with this. I was going to say this in my next comment if needed. He was trying to make it seem like i was saying it just for the hell of it or something. It's like bro, it is what it is. This is what everything points to

the majority of Sony fans i've seen didn't like FF13 either. FF13 was the 1 that seemed to look more "normal" but then all this sh!t happened and square started releasing all this "cut content" and fitting on specifically "3 dvd9"discs came out and what not

i just presented what was known and even YOU tried to low-key pull the "lets blame it on the fact that he's a Sony fan" sh!t that always happens.

..as if what i was saying was delusional or someshit LMAO XD

whatever though..

5 Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 X360 2010 Fighting Namco Bandai Games         0.72

Going multiplat clearly payed off for this series, the PS3 version of UNS2 outsold UNS1, Xbox360 just adds insult to the injury (is the proverb called like this in english?)

Have you played the games? The cutbacks are ridiculous. There's no longer an adventure mode which is what made me buy the first game in the first place.

Yes I have, but you totally missed the point here. This thread is about the sales of the respective games.

Tekken 6 is old and isn't all that great of a Tekken game, should have gone with Tag 2. Tekken 4 is considered the worse game in the series.

Not because it isn't fun, but, because it's broken. Tekken 5 was a lot more balanced, and brought the gameplay closer to Tekken 3. Tekken 6 was hit with criticism over rage mode and bound moves, and, when combined with floor breaks, some stages gave characters touch of death combos.

Now, would it have sold better as an exclusive? No.

Tekken 6 had to become an exclusive to get the sales it ended up with. It wasn't good enough of a game to make you want a PS3. Games have been tarnishing. Tekken 6 might be considered better than Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection by some, but, it doesn't make enough of an improvement over it's predecessor.

As quality in games fall,or the quality of sequels don't improve enough to make a big difference, then they'll have to be multiplats to maintain sales.

Tekken 1, 2 had a few improvements. Tekken 2-3 had tons of improvement. Tekken 4-5 fixed the problems of 4, though, I think the uneven flooring should have stayed for some stages. Then, Tekken 6 screws everything up again by adding stuff people don't want and then the console version is noticeably worse than the arcade experience.

FFXIII ?

@ The prof - while I have no evidence as to what extent this is true, I believe that to some large degree, you are confusing cause and effect.

Which seems more reasonable to you on the face of it.

"Due to taking a step that usually increases sales, sales decreased"

or

"Due to expectations that sales would decrease, developers took steps that would normally increase sales".

For instance, FF13 was a bad game, it was a bad game before the 360 version came out. The devs released it on 2 consoles to sell more. There reason it sold poorly was because it was bad, not because it was multiplat.

how was ff13 bad? when did a meta of 83 become bad?

A lot of those franchises were just on natural declines. I mean Tekken 6? How many franchises don't slow down by the 6th instalment? LOL.

Final Fantasy XIII would've declined from previous FFs even if it was PS3 only, the franchise is just tired and that was an uninspired entry.

If exclusivity on Playstation platforms is some kind of magical factor for success, then Sony should have been able to create a 1st party IP bigger than Halo the last 10+ years but they haven't been able to.
