All the websites that played the game at GDC are saying the gameplay is better than PC version.

I aways trough free movement is a better fit for Diablo than mouse point movement.

Have you played this game? What other game does this look, feel and play like?

For example i like Dragon Age and Dark Souls. Or is Diablo 3 completely different?

For character movement, I agree that it'll be much better but I'm still sceptical when it comes to spells placement.

I don't have a PC to play it anyway but I am put off by the mixed/bad reviews from fan die hards. Aesthetically disappointing from the art work to the angle of the camera, adding console controller based movements might be the best thing for this game. I don't think Blizzard bastardized the PC version for consoles, I just think they made terrible decisions for working and making a PC game regardless of the successful transformation onto consoles. I'd doubt anything would have different with Diablo 3 if they didn't bring it to consoles but maybe they did make some universal changes in order to keep that option, but both versions could be properly tailored to eachother easily enough, I just don't think Blizzard is what it used to be.

Yes, spell usage and user interface access with mouse is better. The only thing superior will be the direct movement control. The only thing that will make me to play D3 again will be the expansion. I hope at least one more class and 2 more acts, fix item drops and AH.

Try Torchlight 2, I'm pretty sure it has a demo.  Similar game and very good, just without a lot of the extra baggage of Diablo.  Torchlight 2 is actually 50% off today at $10, probably because they just released the mod tools.

Imagine Dragon Age if you just had one character (unless it's co-op) and it was action based and fast paced rather than strategic.  Kind of.

I didn't play it on consoles but I can say how it looks in PC... the camera is completly different from Dragon Age or Dark Souls.. the view is superior... more 2D than 3D.

A lot of MMOs on PC copied the success formula of Diablo... so the gameplay is cool.

Diablo didn't create the genre, it just popularized the isometric style. And diablo is not an MMO, it is single player-coop.

have they confirmed a 360/xbox8 port yet?  last i heard was a vague "we aren't nessissarily exclusive playstation" but a refusal to commit to xbox.
