Surely April Fools, although I wouldn't bet against it eventually hitting the competitors' platforms

That wouldn't make sense seeing as how Nintendo is publishing the game. (And Sega, I'm pretty sure, said no to publishing Bayo2 before.)

I don't think that even he thinks it's going to other platforms. Even if he did he also probably doesn't think the chance is that high as well. Well there is a chance but as I said before:

Well, there always is a chance, of course. It's just unlikely.

It will eventually happen, but no way in hell they will announce it BEFORE the WiiU release.

Except it's being almost completly funded by Nintendo....

Yeah just like Mass Effect 1 and Ninja Gaiden 2 and what happened in the end?   As long as the platform holder is not the IP owner anything can happen with the game.

MS didn't directly fund development.  Only marketing and having paid for timed exclusivity.   With Bayonetta 2, the actual development itself is being paid for by Nintendo.  Do you really think Nintendo would fork out ~$20 million in cash to a developer without locking into exclusive rights to the game?

As for Mass Effect specifically, that IP was bought by EA a few months after the game was relased.

Which is as valid as to say that SEGA owns the IP.

No, it would only be the same if Platinum Games were bought by a larger publisher...like EA.
No, it would only be the same if Microsoft did the exact same as Nintendo...like completely fund development.

You don't get the difference between paying marketing/timed exclusivity and completely funding the development.

So far, we dont know the exact details of the deal, so we only can speculate at the moment what could happen.  But I really dont think they are doing it much different from what M$ did with Mass Effect.  So lets wait and see.

What do you mean we don't know enough?    We know Nintendo is funding the project.  We know the game was totally canceled by Sega when Nintendo stepped in. We know that MS published Mass Effect (that means they market the game).  We know that EA bought BioWare several months later.

What exactly is there left for you to figure out?

oh guys please give up. Bayonetta 2 is a Nintendo exclusive. Deal with it. If you want to play it, just buy a WiiU when the game released.

Nintendo Funded bayonetta 2 = Microsoft Funded Mass Effect

Nintendo does not own bayonetta IP = Microsoft does not own ME IP

Nintendo approached SEGA and PG so they can make Bayonetta2 < Microsoft approached Bioware and allowed the ME IP to even exist.

SEGA owns the IP rights of the game and can do WHATEVER THEY WANT WITH IT = EA owns the Mass Effect rights and can do WHATEVER THEY WANT WITH IT.

As I said before it looks the same as M$ approach to Mass Effect. But the small details are not known.  If you want to continue in your dilusion fine by me.

As long as the platform holder does not own the IP, any "exclusivity" is not set in stone.

I'm bolding part of my post above as it seems to apply perfectly.

Fake or not, I honestly don't care, the only reason I never picked up the first game, is because the PS3 version was absolutely gimped, the graphics were ugly as fuck compared to the 360 version, it only ran at half the framerate with drops too, had screen tearing, and oh my lord, it even froze for a second (Like a load) while picking up an item or going into the menu... that's just so terrible to the extent that I will NEVER be interested in the series.

Infact... why did I even come into this thread in the first place?

In fact... why are you so badly informed that you dont know those issues were patched? Its ok though, you dont deserve Bayonetta goodness with that atitude anyways. :P

So you're telling me the game now has textures on par with the 360 version, runs at 60FPS with no screen tearing, and no silly freezing and loading while picking items up and going into the menu?

... I hardly doubt it.

I know the game is playable after the patch (so probably frame rate issues solved). I dont know specifics because i dont have the PS3 version.
