but did i make the right choice?  Yes more 3DS games interest me than Wii U games.  

I got the Pikachu Edition Nintendo 3DS XL with Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance.  What else should i get? I was thinking on getting Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon & New Super Mario Bros.2.  Are they any good?

Haven't played any of the games you got or mentioned so can't tell ya.

I would suggest getting Fire Emblem Awakening. That can never get enough recomendations.

Then there are always the staples, Super Mario 3DLand and Mario Kart 7.

Then any ports such as Ocarina of Time, Star Fox, or Tales of Abyss are good.

The iffy one is Kid Icarus. It's an amazing game, but some people have difficutly with the controls and get turned off it.

NSMB is a very good, but not an amazing Mario game.

Also good choice on the Pikachu 3DS XL, got one myself and love it!!! Can't have enough Pikachu!

3DS is proving to be/become a very cool system.

I'm getting Luigi tomorrow, so I can't really tell, but I'm pretty sure it's awesome. New Super Mario Bros. 2 is same old same old, which means it's good if you like the 2D Mario style gameplay. Personally I'd go for Super Mario 3D Land instead though if you could only pick one. That game uses the 3D effect in a very innovative way.

Other games are, naturally Mario Kart 7 and Ocarina of Time 3D. The latter's the perfect remake of a perfect game. Personally I think best game yet is Resident Evil Revelations however. Yes, quite a departure from the traditional Nintendo game, but it's quite gorgeous on the system and the narrow corridor's of the cruise ship create a perfect, scary atmosphere. Survival horror is a genre you have to like though.

Also, Pokemon's coming in the fall so you're probably gonna want that if you bought the Pikachu 3DSXL .

I had the original 3DS and was never interested in the XL, until I saw the Pikachu edition! Pre-ordered it as soon as I could.
