I reccommend:

Kid Icarus - amazing game, must buy.
Super Mario 3D Land
Luigi's Mansion 2
Resident Evil:Revelations

NSMB is a very good, but not an amazing Mario game.

Also good choice on the Pikachu 3DS XL, got one myself and love it!!! Can't have enough Pikachu!
