Another reason why I'm not hyped about this game. To me Snake = Hayter.

You know statements like this are just... not intelligent. Actually quite the opposite.

BigBoss/Naked Snake is the protagonist of this game. Solid Snake would not yet be snake...or even a soldier yet

You're right. It can't be anyone but Big Boss.

And why would that be? I can't have an opinion in this matter?

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I would not worry about the VA thing. Raiden VA was not initially asked to be on the Rising project either.

In MGS4 Big Boss was voiced by a different actor and Solid Snake would probably be too young to have David hayters voice.

That's the only reason i can think of.

You play as Solid Snake in this game though. There really is no reason why David Hayter shouldn't be in this.

Indeed you do play as solid snake. It's a fun romp of snake when he was 8 years old.

You can have an opinion about everything. In this regard you sound like a spoiled brat

I'd imagine this will receive a similar gamer backlash as the new Splinter Cell caused when they went for a performance actor instead of Michael Ironside. I personally don't care too much, as long as the actors don't sound like Chris Redfield or Barry Burton from the original Resident Evil.

I think David Hayter did an excellent job and it's too bad he won't be returning. But I have to say that after the second game his voice started sounding very strained. In the first game he sounded like a smoker. In the second game he sounded a little more gravely. But in Snake Eater he started to sound like it hurts to talk like that.

You play as Big Boss, so it kind of makes sense to have a voice actor similar to the Big Boss in MGS4, because he is approaching to that age.

But it is very weird considering that the japanese actor of Solid Snake is voicing over Big boss mmm
