With the amount of people saying the Vita is doomed not too long ago and many people dooming the Wii U as well ("games won't help. They didn't help the Gamecube either") I think we did.

Guys, whats the best way to estimate digital download numbers for PS3 games in Japan.

Obviously the numbers here for games like One Piece is retail only. So what's the best way to work out DD for it.

Do we have to wait for shipment numbers? Or do they not include digital download either?

There's some people saying Vita has no more upcoming games in Japan, but obviously they have not looked at the upcoming schedules for major platforms. Let's do a comparison on upcoming confirmed release games thru June, in other words Spring releases, along with a notion on how big the game will be relative to the system. No download only stuff, no low-price rereleases, no educational programs, etc. Real games.

Not sure I'd call Muramasa large. There's also some Animal Crossing-esque Disney game coming from Namco for 3DS.

That said, the lineups for 3DS/Vita/Wii U are all pretty lacking. Like, after April-May there's just...not much. Which is weird.


It's relative to the system as I stated. Also there's reports of Muramasa selling out of preorder allocations at multiple stores.

I'm going by Famitsu's confirmed release lineups here. Are you sure that Disney game has a confirmed release date during spring?

Yeah, that always blows my mind too, and it makes me laugh quite a lot lol.Its cognitive dissonance at its finest; they know its bad, and been bad for a long time, however they love the system, and want it to do well. Vita is doing better, but not but by much. I guess, its too much to a ask for a little intellectual honesty around here...

GoW 3 FW: 41k

Gears had better first weeks in Japan than God of War... this is expected for everybody that follow the Japan sales... if GoW sold more in the first week than Gears then that will be a surprise.
