Forums - General - Bets where you clearly took advantage of the other person because of your random internet knowledge

To be fair, he was insistent and over confident, I have no regrets.

My friend and I made a bet today. Fifty bucks, like taking a candy from a kid. According to him, the new Dragon Ball movie will outgross Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows Part 2 (Yeah, seriously!), his bases where that every teenager in our country is hyped for it (for the record, highest grossing movie ever, 5 million), that China was going to give it huge sums of money (and it's a Japanese movie!) and "defined the childhood of millions of kids worldwide". I tried to talk him out of it, but it's his loss.

Also:

- I won twenty bucks once because someone was convinced Zelda was available for PSP.

- I won another bet when the Wii was at its peak because the other guy was sure the PS3 was outselling it by a large margin.

- I won an ice-cream over who was more wealthy, David Guetta against Paul McCartney.

What about you? Don't you take slight pleasure from doing this to other human beings?

None of us are as horrible of a person as you are, Moreno.
It's not like I made a bet about Animal Crossing: New Leaf that I am sure to win.

...People these days...

I won a bet that Gangnam Style would hit a billion when the video had around 300 million views.

Not random i-net knowledge but just a really really good hunch.

''Rodeate de sabios y pronto un sabio tu seras'' if you're surrounded by fools... ^^ it's all a joke!

None of this is random internet knowledge, but rather common knowledge. Except maybe the Wii one, but even that was sufficiently communicated through other media.
