Forums - Gaming - tomb raider good single player, but really bad multiplayer

I mean the difference is light night and day. Wtf happened!!!!!!! I was'nt planning on getting tomb raider this soon, but after hearing all of these great things about the single player I just had see for myself!!!!!! I'm only around 4 hours into the single player and it's pretty dam good. I get why people compare the game to uncharted, but I think the single player is different enough. First off your stuck on an island, just trying to survive and it's an orgin story. I don't recall you ever been stuck on an island in uncharted. There's secret tombs, base camps and more stuff to collect. There's less weapons so far,but that makes sense as far as the story goes. There's also the climbing axe and the the fact that you can kill animals. as far as the graphics go there right up there with uncharted in the single player. I don't really know if there better, but there dam close. The multiplayer on the other hand is a completly different story. The graphics are like 10 times worse and the maps are so dam small. it's nothing but a really really bad clone of the uncharted multiplayer. there's no denying this. I mean I have to max out just to play as laura croft. Bs!!!!!!!!!!    It's obvious it was just an afterthought. Why even bother to add it at all!!!!!!!!! I mean the only reason to play it,is if you care about getting all the trophies and playing as laua croft, once you max out. So basically this game is all about the single player baby!!!!!

For me it was:

Great Single Player. PERIOD. Haven't touched the MP and I never will. It never needed one either.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

I love playing multiplayer in games, but I was just taken back bye the difference in quality. If you don't care about trophies/achievements,then there's no reason to touch the multiplayer.

That's what happens when you make a multiplayer mode for the sole purpose of being a bullet point on the box.

You are stuck on an island for most of the first Uncharted

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

thanks,I've played all the uncharted games, but it's been awhile since i've played them.

I don't think the multiplayer is that bad. It's just very generic.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

I think that's a good thing.

a big fuck you to multiplayer in general, it's the reason we get 5 hour single player campaigns in games.

A big fuck you would be to skip multiplayer altogether. This just comes off as a half-hearted effort

BioShock Infinite, baby!

I was abit annoyed that 360 gets the DLC first, knowing now that its for MP they can go ahead a make that exclusive
