He'll definately be a boss. Ridley is the only other reconisable Metroid character and since he won't be playable, he must be a boss.

(I recall something about Ridley on Dojo, but im not sure. If this is already confirmed, Sorry for the useless post.)

They mention Ridley in the music section.

They use the music from Super Metroid's original boss battle with him in the space station. (However, this is not a confirmation by any means)
