Forums - General - Falsely yell ‘Bingo,’ break the law (and lose freedom of speech)

The ruling is a joke. Literally, the judge was making a joke. He doesn't expect the kid to follow through with it and the judge wouldn't try to enforce it.

If it's a technically enforceable legal ruling, there's still a problem even if he "wouldn't".

I agree you're not allowed to yell Bingo on private property but it shouldn't be illegal, it should just be banned from the premises. This is not a problem for the law if no one was hurt.

I'd actually would rather see more rulings like this. The judge said the 18 y/o was obviouslya good kid and was never in trouble before. The infraction was a joke and caused no harm either. The judges other option would be more burdensome on the kid

Also, I'm all for temporarily suspending something someone abuses. It's a word that he isn't allowed to say. Even if the judge was strict about it it doesn't infringe on his free speech. It just forces the kid to be more creative. He could write it down. He could play charades. He could use a different set of words like "old people sport"

Is this for real? Like wtf. At worst the bingo leader should have shouted "get out you pesky kid!"

Does he now have a police tracker collar that signals for him to be arrested? How else are they going to know if says bingo over the next six months. And how can a court legally ban you from saying a word???

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Get on an airplane and yell "bomb" then see what happens.....
