Ok, i know that there are more exclusives as Halo or Gears... But as I said the PS3 and the Xbox share most of the third party games like Assassin's Creed and Resident Evil. So the Exclusives are very important.

I must admit that I do not know the whole software offering for the Xbox360. But the most famous franchises are Halo, Gears, Forza, Fable and Mass Effect and I am simply not interested in these games.

Ok, there are also famous PS Franchises like Killzone, Gran Turismo, InFamous or Little Big Planet that I do not like (anymore). But there are smaller Franchises like Ratchet & Clank, Jak and Daxter, Sly Racoon, Heavy Rain, Heavenly Sword, 3D Dot Game Heroes alongside some Big Franchises like God of War or Uncharted which makes the difference.

All in all the PS3 offers more diversity and more genre diversity (especially in my favourite Genres JRPGs, Action-Adventures and Jump'n'Runs).

Not trying to contradict you or anything. You've stated your opinion and I respect it. But saying that you don't know the whole software offering for the 360 and then claiming that PS3 offers more diversity is fairly wrong.

His post is wrong because it's made of ignorance, but claiming the PS3 offers more diverisity isn't a bad or incorrect claim in of itself. It's especially evident in the first party efforts between the two companies.

The mistake is not in saying that "Ps3 has more diversity". That claim can be argued and talked about, but of course. However, the mistake lies when he says that he does not know the whole software offering for the 360 and then he claims that the Ps3 has more diversity.

One could say "He's referring to the most famous franchises", but he told me the "smaller" franchises he's interested in, and he does not have a clue about 360's offering in this regard. So saying, again, that the Ps3 has more diversity without knowing the whole truth is what I told him was wrong.

You do understand that there are several hundred games available on both PS3 and Xbox 360. It is a matter of fact that I do not know about all of them or have investigated them all, neither on PS3 or XBox360.

I clearly stated that I was talking about exclusives since both HD Consoles share a great amount of the third party Software.

So, lets go into detail. I stated some of my favourite genres, that I actually care about. Lets take Jump'n' Runs.

Ignoring XBLA or PSN and just stating Retail releases, how many franchises with more than one game does the XBOX offer? I can name Sly, Ratchet and Jak as three franchises with multiple games that are available exclusice on the PS3, while I found Banjo and the Xbox.... In this Genre the PS3 has more diversity to offer.

What about exclusive Action-Adventures. I found 3D Dot Game heroes as a good old Zelda-Hommage, Heavenly Sword and God of War as Action-Adventures, Afrika as a Foto Safari, Heavy Rain as Adventure, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus as Action-Adventure, Little Big Planet as Platformer (although I started to dislike the play, create, share idea), Metal Gear Solid 4, Siren Blood Curse, Yakuza... That are games that I know about and that I have played myself. It is a variety of genres exclusive to the PS3.

The Xbox has its own share of exclusive franchises: Halo, Forza, Gears, Dead or Alive, Fable, Crackdown, Left 4 Dead. But they are centered arount Shooter, Racing or Fighting.... Genres that I do not care much about.

The whole question of this thread was why we are not buying the Xbox to play some exclusives JRPGS. That was my answer. The PS3 and the Xbox are too similar and the Xbox has in sum too few exclusives I care about to justify a purchase. Microsoft is just not offering enough own franchises for me that I am interested in.

That does not mean that the Xbox360 is a bad consoles. I could play some of my favourite Franchises of this generation on it and would have a great time with it. But as long as there are not more exclusives that I care about I will not buy both consoles. After all that is a matter of personal taste

Dead or Alive isn't exclusive to the Microsoft.  I'm playing Dead or Alive 5+ on my Vita right as we speak.

You didn't understand me! I did not blame you for saying that the Ps3 has more demographic or that you like it more. The only thing I mentioned was that you said "you didn't know the 360's offering at its full", yet you claimed that the Ps3 was better in this regard. You seem to have look into the thing, and that's cool. What I was talking about is that it is wrong to say that without knowing all the details.

Kay well I am deeply into JRPGs Gaming on PlayStation 3 gave me all I need in the genre. To me it's just not worth going out and buying a console for like at most 5 JRPGs plus what about the future of that genre on the 360? There isn't any so I see no point in going all out just for this game alone I haven't played it but my brother did he said it was okay he said he couldn't really remember much of the game also the characters, they don't look like a wow facter more meh.. Then anything do it have comedy? I wouldn't guess much. The time the game takes place... Reminds me of FFXII and that's a no can do in my book look I'm not knocking it but I just don't really wanna try it maybe if it was on PlayStation 3 but even still it'll be whatever cuz nothing looks like it'll stand out take Persona 4 Golden (I know it's not on consoles per-say) that is The Best JRPG I have played and I feel it's not even Close to the level of that game. Best on console would be as of now Ni no Kuni game was so fun and the story was amazing the game was just heart warming also maybe no one talks about it cuz it wasn't really as good as everyone says

Oh fuckin' yes =D

Here, you've got both The Character and The Comedian xD

Lol who the hell was that dude..? I see its funny cuz just from that pic I would give it a try looks like it'll have a better story then WKC2 but ugh it's cuz it's on the 360 it loses its value there it probably is a good amazing game but it won't be miss on this Sony Platform lol

The black mage of the group. You spend a quarter of the whole game with merely three characters (One of them is him, Jansen), and by far, that's the funniest part of the game. Whenever he opens his mouth, something bad happens. It's IMO the best character of the team, and a little prick and coward sometimes, but that's what make him unique.

He's the comical relief of the group, also. And in a certain part of the game, he is the temporary leader of the team.
