Forums - Nintendo - Gamespot scores Luigi's mansion 6.5

Personal attacks because of a score? Really? I don't agree with the score either, but let's focus solely on the review rather than bringing petty bullcrap into this. This is also why you read multiple reviews to get a feel for what the game is about and how people with different tastes react to its style and gameplay.

People still trusting in reviews in the year 2013... WOW.

Play the demo and hit the forums, reviews nowadays are not trust worthy.

It still has an 85 guys so just remember this is only one review

I agree completely.  There is never any reason to get angry just because one person didn't like a game nearly as much as another.  There is nothing inherently wrong with review scores but the way people react to them can be nuts.

Who really cares? Her complaints were mentioned in no other review. So it's just her opinion. Remember, that's all reviews are.

I personally agree with many of her reviews, but what's the point of gaming journalism if we don't get different opinions from different people who want different things.

Just another review. I still will buy it anyway

It reads like she has the gall to utilize the whole 1-10 scale.

Since everyone was saying Gamespot "underrate" Nintendo games I wanted to look at their Wii reviews, but they've removed the Wii tab??

Edit: Checked. I guess their 10 for Galaxy 2 doesn't count or 9.5 for Brawl and Galaxy 1 or 9 for The Last Story (!)

Off the record: That 10 for Galaxy 2 is probably one of the most biased, unbeliable score for a game, ever. Seriously, only MGS4 and GTA IV had scored a 10 previously in Gamespot history (I think). Not saying the game was bad, but no game deserves a perfect ten; and Galaxy 2 is probably the worst example of a broken scoring system in Gamespot.

The 9'5 for Brawl is totally justified. But having it been a 10 it would have been wrong also. I don't agree with the 10 of MGS4 and GTA either, but that's because, personally, I think no game deserves a perfect 10 (no game is perfect).

But yeah, Gamespot does not have anything against Nintendo. It's just the latest reviews Gamespot have been pulling out are plain horrible.

I don't even really like Luigis Mansion, only buying the game for the free Mario 3D Land from the Nintendo club promotion.. But hahaha really? She docks points for it being too hard? Luigis Mansion, being too hard?? That should tell you all you need to know about the credibility of this reviewer.. I mean I know most games today have been dumned down, but for gods sake, has the bar really been lowered this much..

Reviews are subjective opionions, not objective analyses. You read the review and decide wheter you like or not what you´ve just read. Sometimes a reviewer will complain about something you like. This doesn´t mean (s)he is wrong just that this person prefers it different things. And if somebody doesn´t like challenging games then it is all right this doesn´t mean you have to hate it too, or the person who wrote the review.

Stop complaining about shit like that and grow up. You wanna have your opinion, then you have to respect different opinions as well.
