How am I to know which GoW game you have no knowledge of? I am not a wizard. Use wikipedia, it's not hard.

Not a good analogy by the way, Mario. A franchise loads of people complain about being milked regardless of how "spread out" it is. Also, I never said anything about milking something. All I said was it looks like people are getting tired of God of War, which is good, because Santa Monica is a good developer and I want to see something else from them. You can twist that however you want, your persecution complex clearly gets the better of you :(

Regarding the bolded, you're doing a fine job of pushing that point across yourself. No help needed.

Disappointed Tomb Raider hasn't held up better than this. I would have thought strong reviews and good word of mouth would have given Lara Croft longer legs.

There have been 2 PS2 games, 2 PS3 games and 2 PSP games. 2 games on average per platform. Meanwhile, there are 4 Gears game on a single platform.

There have been 7 God of War games. I don't GAF about your single platform qualifier, it's irrelevant. Not sure why some of you are so defensive about the lower sales.

Regarding Gears, someone else brought that into the discussion (defense mechanism I guess), I was just pointing out a difference. I never said or implied that Gears has not run its course this gen. The latest entry was not even made by the original developers. So whatever lol.

Surprised the Wii U wasn't adjusted up more. But the other adjustments looks to be in the right ball park, but only for NA. I can imagine yet further changes when/if we get confirmed EU figures.

i think more adjustments will happen once Q1 shipments are announced as well

Uff, thread turns into a God of War/Gears of War argument. Great. Next week is going to be fun, too!

Anyway, some observations. Pretty nice opening for God of War but way down, which is a shame. Would probably have benefited more from being a PS4 title. It is a spin off though, so I sort of understand.

Nice legs from MLB, higher than the second week for MLB 12, which is the best selling of the franchise on PS4. Will legs well over the next few months if the previous titles are anything to go by.

I'm glad VGChartz decided to track Atelier Ayesha in the USA this week. I still don't quite understand how they do things when they have the 2nd week sales as the first sales they count. Do they add the first + second weeks together? Or do they just ignore a week. Seems odd. Either way, poor opening, which is deserved since Tecmo Koei don't seem at all invested in this franchise in the west. Which is a shame - Rorona showed there is a market for Atelier games.

Metal Gear Rising the next Platinum Games bomba confirmed? I just picked up a copy for 20€. Looks retailers want to get it out fast.

yes by making a logical counter-point I knew you would say it if I didn't mention it before hand.  My persecution complex?  Well at least you're being original.  Also GoW2 sold less than 1 does that mean people were tired of it then?  Guess so.  There are loads of other factors than people getting tired of it, which I'm not saying is out of the question, though I would say it's more tired of the character or setting than the gameplay or structure.  So a game in Norse or Egyptian mythology can shoot numbers even beyond GoW3.
