Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

Assuming this is true, then i can almost garauntee it wont have b/c. Why? Because they want to push people in to downloading older games from the psn store. B/c is expensive and sony is desperatley trying to get the price down. The fact that it a 120+ gig hard drive proves that they really want consumers to download games, movies, and whatever else will be avialble for download. The fact that the ps2 was the best selling console (as in console not hand held) sans the wii proves to me at least, that sony can focus on the ps2 in its own right and then really focus on the ps3 and attempt to make it sell more ps3 software while the ps2 does its own thing. I know people complain about not having bc but chances are, you have a ps2. What sony really needs to do is slash the price on the 40 gig and get that to 299 a price like that would really put pressure on the 360, toppled with the fact that sony has a killer lineup this year.

PS3 flavor of the month? Where's all of our gazers into the future willing to make a prediction? I want to know how many versions of PS3s there will be this year.

Torturing the numbers.  Hear them scream.

Nobody is not buying a PS3 because they think it won't have enough space, 80GB is more then any other console offers and it is fine for the average consumer.

The 120GB 360 Elite says hi.

In any case, this is a good move by Sony. With the replacable HDDs in the PS3, it makes sense to keep upping the size as time goes on and HDD prices continue to drop. The price difference between 40/80/120 GB is virtually nothing.

"buy now or you will never see it again" fear mongering is getting old...

Step 1: Phase out 80GB SKU in NA. Then one SKU worldwide for awhile, no more spiderman BD.

Step 2a: Worldwide release new SKU: 120-160GB (with BC?)+DS3, no bundle game, price at $399-$449.
Step 2b: Worldwide 40GB price cut to $299-$349.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

here comes the PS3 Elite!

anyway I think sony will definitely introduce a bigger HDD version with BC after all the 80 gig are depleted, it'll be very stupid release a second model at $100 difference with only HDD difference. Dont expect this model arrive anytime soon. Sony Want sales spike and trying to keep their existing base happy.
40/80/120 GB is really like a few dollar difference and make sense increasing the HDD size, looks more added value to new buyers.

They should just bring back the 20 gig.

Getting rid of that in the first place was the biggest joke... if they didn't they'd probably have a few more sales in the bank and wouldn't of needed the 40 gig redesign.

The value of the $500 model really isn't changing. Instead of MotorStorm you get a larger HDD and a DS3.

However, I think they should include DS3s in all SKUs from here on out.
