On another note, the game is on sale at EA's official site for $29.99 (like the PS360 versions). So it makes it more reasonable to pick up this true definitive version of the game on the Wii U (if you have one) right now!!!
NinjaBlade is that comparison real? Cause the Wii U version is missing shadows...

Dude..you should know by now that ANYTHING Nintendo related coming from Ninjablade should be taken with a MASSIVE chunk of salt!!! The guy's been constantly trolling Nintendo since I've known him. His mod history says it all!!! |
He hasn't been trolling, believe it or not, but that's a totally different discussion. That image had to come from somewhere, some beta build, some PC build with effects turned off, somewhere. I'm just wondering where.

meh i got the comparison, from neogaf and stated it was a bad comparison, just like the comparsion that was being used, in favor of the wiiu, there both crap but unlike the others i stated it was a bad comparison just like the pics posted that make the wiiu version look much better.
Ninjablade's comparison doesn't make sense anyway though.
The pictures are made from a tv with a regular camera. The image is tilted, so made by hand without the use of a stand (not steady and thus blurred) and to top it off, the supposed 'lack' of shadows on the WiiU version actually does makes sense, because the light comes from a different direction. Namely precisely from behind instead of from the left. You actually see shadows cast by things in the background (building on the left, canopee or whatever on the tall building in the center) and also under the car instead of at the side.
You think reviewers would say the graphics and effects were noticably better but then didn't notice the missing shadows?
Gaming Nexuz
"In the end Criterion has brought NFSMW to Wii U apparently effortlessly, although I’m sure a great deal of effort actually went into the transition. The game looks and plays better than the previous home console versions, standing shoulder to shoulder with the PC version in terms of graphics, and the added Wii features just sweeten the pot. While many launch window ports on Wii have felt rushed and overall shaky, NFSMWU screams like a V12 roadster doing 160 on the interstate. Whatever Criterion has done, I hope other developers learn how to coax this much raw performance out of the Wii U, and soon"

Yups...we don't need DF/EuG to know that this is the definitive version of the game right now!!! Gamerankings already has it higher than the PS360 and even compared to the PC. http://www.gamerankings.com/browse.html?search=need+for+speed%3A+most+wanted&numrev=3&site= One bad review to get hits is all it is, besides Criterion already said that the U version is better because of the power boost the Wii U is has compared to the PS360.

"Even if you're an old hand at Most Wanted at this point (my SpeedPoint total across Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions was already a ridiculous amount), the ability to control the traffic or cops, and the ability to easy locate hidden cars are worth revisiting Fairhaven. Criterion's also used the extra time to make the Wii U the best-ooking console version, complete with textures from the PC release and a few tweaks to the way night and day look in game"
