not to happy about this, but i have to see the game before i say anything, if its looks mind blowing then thats ok.
I can only tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on my big TV and the difference is slight. I can not tell the difference between 30hz and 60hz. If it's locked at 30hz it looks the same to me as locked at 60hz.
So I'd take 1080p at 30hz over 720p 60hz, but only if nothing else is downgraded to up the resolution.

Well I guess I will be getting the PC version. Hope this is not the trend, I wanted to be done with 720p. Hell even 1080p looks washed on a 65in TV. Hope Sony keeps pushing games at 1080p, or this will be a very sad generation for visuals on console.
This should have been nipped by Sony and MS with publishing requirements. All games should have to maintain the 1080p/30fps minimum. The PS4 is fully capable with the official specs. I understand the reasoning for this decision, but we have to have a baseline. What is the point of extra graphics if it is all washed out.
Maybe they can offer the option of 1080/30 or 720/60. At any rate, this is still just speculation, so lets hope this is not the whole story.

It really does matter. Of course the ideal target would be 1080p @60FPS. I'm betting next-gen Call of Duty will do it.

Battle field 4 is confirmed to be 1080 fps @ 60 fps for ps4/720p, this is confirmed to be fake http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=526377 a mod should really close this thread.
