Actually sounds quite believable. I'd be happy with 720p / 60fps as long as anti-aliasing is great.

Same here. I'm likely not picking this up, but I have no problem with it running at 720p in a next-gen context. That means they'll be able to do a lot more with both the graphics and the gameplay.
I personally don't have a problem with 720p. My main issue is that current gen consoles can barely handle that, forcing devs to pull all types of tricks and sleights of hand that STILL don't alleviate stuff like poor framerate and the like.
"the next generation consoles including the PC would get 64 players"
Awesome!
I am not sure that this is necessary unless the effects and graphic are much better than in BF 3. High 1080p runs at 60 fps on a 7850-7870.
Without any optimizations.
Even Ultra 1440p is doable on a 7870 at 30fps.
So if its indeed just 720p/60fps Battlefield 4 on a console it must be a huge step over Battlefield 3.
60FPS. That's what I wanted to hear.
I'm glad they went with 720p/60FPS instead of 1080p/30FPS.

Most current-gen games run sub-HD. They don't even hit that 720p mark.
Great news that they're going this route for the consoles as opposed to what Killzone SF is doing. I'll take 720p/60fps over 1080p/30fps any day.

Yeah, that's what I meant. They'll run below 720p and then don't even do THAT well. -_-
That's why I game on PC, too, alongside my PS3 and Vita.
