Well the new Tomb Raider did have some mythological stuff in it.  

***SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED IT***

The soul of the Sun Queen is transferred to each successor.  The guardians that are protecting the dead body that is housing the sun queen in the game are thousands of year old people who have never died.  And at the end of the game I think in Lara's notebook she has Croatoa written at the top of a page which could be a nod to a sequel.

Just because you like it better than Uncharted doesn't mean it is.

I like Uncharted better.  Everybodies tastes are different.

Yeah, I have read too many post spoiling a game or movie for me.  I always warn people because of that and just out of respect to not spoil it for people.

No its not just you. That's been the reaction of Uncharted fanatics everywhere. Idk if I'd say its because it's "better" since that is purely subjective, but it clearly rustled some jimmies that this game they have been blowing off for months as some cheap Uncharted knockoff is actually an incredible reboot that is nothing like Uncharted, and is getting great acclaim critically and great sales. I mean look at one of the first replies... apparently Uncharted was the first game to have elements of mystical legends or magic. Nevermind that these things have been in Tomb Raider since the 90's when the series began. It's only in there now because Uncharted actually invented it lol.
