Forums - Nintendo - Lego City: Undercover, next gen graphics?

Are these next gen graphics?

Yes 60 23.26%

Barely 50 19.38%

Equal to 7 generation 73 28.29%

No 75 29.07%

Total:258

I don't see any difference between this and other Lego games. Although those weren't open world I guess.

Not sure why everyone is praising the draw distance. You can see cars and people disappearing and appearing in the background. The lego pieces appear out of nowhere quite close, as well. Seems close to PS3/360 draw distance. In terms of graphics, overall, looks like a really good PS3/360 game.

you guys do realize the game is sub HD, draw distance is bad and so is frame rate, the only thing impressive is motion blur but i guess looking through rose tinted glasses make even a ok looking current gen game look next gen. i'm saying this based on the 43% that say its nextgen and barley, so the reality is its all bias, people way over exaggerate, a game's graphics just to feel good about the console they love.

Why does a Lego game have to have next-gen graphics?

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

Sub-HD..? Got any sauce with that..? I assumed it was 720p native..?

And you might want to have a look at the draw distance again and see an optician if you don't think the draw distance is impressive.

Don't be fooled by the simplistic LEGO graphics. There's probably a whole lot more going on 'under the hood' than meets the eye.

I don't know about the sub-HD part, but how is the draw distance impressive when you can clearly see cars and characters disappear in the background and the lego pieces pop up when you are only a few feet away from them?

you have a neogaf account, it's been confirmed to be sub-hd on neogaf, look at page 12.

I think the thing with the draw distance is that it's not consistent.  Sometimes the draw distance is far, others it is short.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=50344158&postcount=551 You mean this?  (I didn't read the entire thread btw)

To me, this seems entirely baseless and by no means is a confirmation.

edit: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=50448360&postcount=607  We can argue that this post confirms it's native 720p if we look into it the way you looked into that neogaf post that was hypothetical.
