Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped the Versus XIII and made it 15. I don't mind one way or another just give me a damn release date.

I think it'll be a cross platform game, PS3/360/Wii U and PS4/720 as well.

Does "Versus XIII" really even tie into the story of FFXIII? If no, then renaming it FFXV makes much more sense. Why associate it with XIII when that's one of the least popular FF games for no reason?

The Goddess Etro was a big part of the early stuff I saw for Versus XIII.  She's central to the story in XIII-2.  I'm pretty sure it's tied in.

Don't worry, they have told us to be excited for E3! They will probably announce an announcement later in the year

I highly highly doubt it'll be on 5 platforms. All of their major Japanese games are either on one or two platforms, and Nomura has pretty much made every one of his games exclusive (although the bulk is, like, KH games. Still, KH 1.5 Remix is PS3 exclusive and that's a remaster collection.)

Maybe if it was a Western game.

There's never really been a console transition like the one about to happen though. 

I suspect it'll be made for the PS3/360 primarily, but pushed to 1080p with some better textures/character models for a PS4/720 version. 

Gotta recoup those dev costs somehow.

That makes no sense. 3rd party exclusivity makes no sense.

They really need to just call it XV, there's no point calling it Versus XIII when 1) It has pretty much nothing to do with XIII, 2) People don't care much for spinoffs and 3) It looks good enough to be called FFXV.
