Crazzy can't believe he is going to win that, can he? By the time FFXIII is released, there might be 20M Ps3 owners. FFXII sold 5M on a 100M base.

Crazzy, even if FFXIII sells 3M in japan, I doubt its first 3 months will be higher than galaxy.

How about FFXIII, GT5 and MGS4 combined, vs Brawl + Galaxy combined? That would be closer than most other things posted here.

Alternatively, we could take cooking mama franchise vs MGS4, which will have sold more after the gen?

Crazzy: I still haven't recieved word on our bet.
I'm proposing one (or all) of these:

SMG will outsell every single PS3 game
The first 3 months sales of SMG are more than first 3 months sales of FFXIII
SSBB+SMG will outsell FFXIII+MGS4+GT5 first year of sales

Take the bet?

As i said before:

Ok, i don`t mind, SMG won`t sell 2 mln. since the week of black friday in november 2008 till the end of 2008.
SMG won`t outsell every single PS3 game ever.

The only problem, it will take atleast 1 year for the 1st bet.
I can bet on 100 wmz, 100 e-gold, 100 paypal or what ever. =)

3) How do you count 1st year sales? 1 year sales in every region for a game? Or since first launch?

Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.
