"A reader has provided IGN with an e-mail from PlayStation outlining a new program: PlayStation MVPs.

The PlayStation MVPs e-mail was sent to this reader because, as the letter explains, he’s “an avid PlayStation gamer with an impressive trophy collection and a library of games” that “represent the top 1% of the PlayStation community.” You can see the full e-mail below.

Seems like the elite members of the playstation nation are getting some kind of job/award, did anyone here get this email?  what do you think sony has planned for these MVP players?

I think there might be some kind of paid incentive here, their making you fill out an application form and everything if you want to be a member of the "PS MVP" :L

low ?

They are talking about the top 1%. that's over 700k people (on PS3). Number of PSN acounts is what ? 100m or more ? So probably even the top 1m people.

I'm in the top 19.000 on the 360 overall leaderboard and I have less achievements than the top 2 users on the PSN VGC leaderboard even though PS3 introduced trophies much later.

PSNprofiles.com is for people who actively hunt for achievements and therefore several 100k of them would make it into the top 1%.
