Forums - Nintendo - Lego City frame rate issues :(

I was really excited to pick this up day one, however after reading a few reviews they all pick up on an inconsistant frame rate. One reviewer states that it is "bordering on disaster. I am very disapointed with this as i expect a consistant frame rate on a next gen console, especially when the game isnt graphically taxing. There is also a mention of painfull loading times too, so i shall pick up Need for Speed and hope to hear the views of fellow Vg charterz who buy the game before making my mind up on it.

Disgruntled zippy.

Why don´t you rent it first?

Perhaps i will rent it, i was just ranting because i wanted it to be a good showcase of what the Wii U can do. But it looks to be a little unpolished.

Framerate issues are annoying, but gamebreaking? I don't think so.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Maybe its due to the bad architecture of the Wii U.

Conegamer- I found the framerate issues on Epic Mickey 2 really hampered my enjoyment of the game, and certain parts were pretty much unplayable. This resulted in me eventally trading it in without completing it, which is pretty much unheard of for me as im a completionist. As i said, i had high hopes for Lego City so maybe the humour and fun gameplay might outweigh the technical issues, but i expect better on Wii U.

Don´t worry man, it will be an amazing game.

Sometimes reviewers exaggerate, and I definitely feel like this is one of those cases. It's an 80 avg game, it wouldn't be if it would be unplayable at times.

What you said makes no sense.

Anyway, I don't really care about framerate issues, seeing as I play N64 and PS1 games today without any problem. However, you seem to be affected by it, so I believe you should rent it and, if you find the framerate acceptable, buy the game.

Frame rate issues for this?

It can't be, wait for the final review I refuse to believe the WiiU can't handle those graphics.
