Thats the main reason the game keeps getting 8's. If the story was as good as all the others it would've been a solid nine. I play God of War for gameplay to tell you the truth. I want to see what Greek mythical being I can destroy next with Kratos, but I also like his story overall. How can he be a complex character when every iteration of GOW , kratos gets fooled teh same exact way  over promise that never stands true when he competes the task asked byt he gods. I mean wouldn't kratos learned from mistakes after the first two games?  The only reason why they have been so many GOW games because Kratos is stupid gullable chracters that naked women  and tits can sway him in doign everythign which leads to him raging and killign everypne. 'personification of persistance and determination to reach your goals and seeing them through to the end." HOWS that work when he causes thes goals to happen. if he was smart enough he should have said no and not get persuaded by teh gods knwoign that thye can never keep his promise. Can't say much about ascension as i haven't finished the game yet. 


I never said he was the worlds greatest detective or multidimensional character. Kratos is not Odysseus, but yet hes found ways to survive the smarter of Zeuses more popular demi-god sons. Kratos is smarter than Hercules by default. God of War 3 shows exactly what the greeks said that huberis will be your fall no matter how smart or great you think you are. This can be said for the chase between Kratos and Hermes. He chased him for god knows how long until he finally cornered him and cut off his legs. It shows what kind of man you're dealing with. You see, Kratos isn't dumb he was a war general for the Spartan Army who soon follows his deity roots and becomes a god. Kratos solves puzzles and got out of Hera's labrynth where she assumed he'd be trapped forever even in death. He escaped Hades three times which not even gods are allowed to do with the exception of Hermes and Persephone in particular. Hermes is a special case and a trickster at that and Kratos served him his end well. If Kratos is gullible than a whole lot of people in the real world armed forces are as well. He's  trained to take orders  but when hes off the leash hes seen as a mad dog as any train military operative who goes on a killing spree would be seen as. As for the promise, Spartan soldiers died and paid tribute to their gods, no one is above them. If they say they can get rid of dreams you do the  math. A gods power can at times be dependent on the worship of those beneath them. What would any greek hero who couldnt get rid of bad dreams do? Go find a god that can take the bad dreams away. Its as simple as that.

hahah you know thats kratos stupidity that got him there three times. He could have easily avoided it if he din't fall from same trick thinking he willget what he wants from teh gods if he perform teir task. He got waht he desrve for beign dumb. because of his stupidity , we are getting flooded with GOW games.

Every Spartan solider mustve been stupid to you then because they had a tough as nails get cut and keep moving mentality. Those soldiers were bred to keep moving and keep destroying. You're not saying anything, just hes dumb, not providing an argument at all. This is stupid.

Wat else do you do in GOW aprt from seeing him rage , kill eevrythign that stand in his way and sex minigames. We saw that in most GOW titles.  The worst part  only in america would you find an american hero, that is able to kill immortal gods lol.

Um..lets see puzzle solving, platforming, QTE, use items to find treasures, gather magic and grow to be strong enough to beat the final boss. The way you talk about it theres no wonder you hate it. It has a large focus on storytelling unlike any other Hack N Slash game out there which basically puts it in another league in terms of multiplayer.

"God of War 3 shows exactly what the greeks said that huberis will be your fall no matter how smart or great you think you are." If that was the case Kratos should have done an honorable thign and killed himself after teh first game .

Kratos doesn't show huberis. He knows  hes not the most nimble guy out there but he will risk his life to come after you. He doesnt care about his life just his revenge, hence why he takes so much risk. He's taking revenge on their gods for THEIR huberis and thinking they can get away with destroying peoples lives regardless of whether Kratos is related to them. Kratos did give his life to give hope to the world. The first game was the beginning of a trilogy, he didnt need to kill himself. Kratos knew his power wasnt absolute which is why he gave himself to Ares if he saved his life and Ares gave him the blades of chaos. Since when did Kratos ever show any form of Huberis? If you hate Kratos you might as well hate King Leonidas from 300 as well. Same mentality and he was king of the Spartans. Kratos was just a fake half god character who was one of his top generals.

It makes me wonder if Adam and others are button mashers or if they rushed the game without upgrading Kratos properly. Kratos has a shitload of moves with those blades and you also have those 3 special items which are VERY useful. I wonder what difficulty these guys play Ninja Gaiden in? Ninja dog?

I remember hearing about a puzzle that was so simple that it took them hours lol. Do you know what it is?  I bet it was the one of the eyes of apollo.   It could be a bit WTF am I supposed to do, but in the end if you see what is the expected result you should obtain it becomes crystal clear quite soon in the puzzle.

In other words reviewers are quite dumb.

I also want to add that the gameplay for the storyline is basically the multiplayer. If you want to master it go to multiplayer first and have the game teach you how to master each move. Its a very deep system thats like a hybrid of a powerstone/fighting game and a typical hack n slash. You do considerably less damage to foes than you did in the past games.

He to me is the dumbest videogma character ever created as its okay to be fooled once or twice but to be fooled all the time , the same exact way based on the same exact promises is hillarious. Makes you wonder who writes this scripts. Fourthy the the game changing deal is that god war doesn't use the greek mythology in any accurate form. Instead they just use their name nad make up the soty around it . Thats a shame as it could be a more interesting game if it followed the greek mythology properly.  In sayign all of this teh graphics are nice and to some extent beautiful but neither of it is WOW " jizz in my pants epic" because the game only  looks epic or wow stunning is when there is titan sized monster and kratos or important cutscenes . Apart from taht m when its aoomed out and you have to explore teh graphics are still good but nothign specials you can see lots of jaggies especially in the lates installments. Thats my opinion  i do respect yours and its good you  enjoy teh game. If  were to review it would be between adam sessler 3/5 review and 7/10 from eurogamer/ Its in between.

I got it yesterday.  i am up to the point where you obtain teh ice skill to the chains. If you don't believe me , why don't you add me to psn and better still do you want to me furtehr embarass you by takign a screen shot of all teh god war games on the ps3? . You sure you want that haha.  What i wrote is what i experince playing teh game and yes tehres slowdown in tis installment.  Whats so bs about teh description i gave ? Please do elaborate and grace us with your brillaince :P.  Is it hard for you to accept that the game is not flawless and not worth of a 90+ metacritic.   The game is very simple in its combat system. games like  DMC has more complex and varied adn very deep combat system and heck even bayonetta has more deep and varied comabt system with more varied moves then any GOW games. Have you played any other hack and slash titles apart from GOW series?

I am playing Ascension on hard and its easily the hardest GOW ever. The computer is out for your head and it doesnt matter how much you hit them. You have to outsmart them, parry, grab and dodge. This is not for the novice GOW gamer.

The fightning is exactly the same as all the DMC games on the ps2. I even replayed them after finishing the new rebbot and found no diffferemce. The camera however in the reboot was better then the old DMC games. The onlyy difference , which i have to admit  , teh new Dante looks cool and he does things more in style then the old Dante. S.T.A.G.E gave you an answer on Ascension's gameplay and say that there is no difference between DMC and the DmC saga(other than Dante) just show how well you know it.

I don't even care going on with this because you don't know what you are talking about so any discussion is pretty useless.

God of War's gameplay isn't stale. To those who gave it low scores I suggest they spend a few hours with multi-player. That is what sets this game apart from the others.

Thats the main reason the game keeps getting 8's. If the story was as good as all the others it would've been a solid nine. I play God of War for gameplay to tell you the truth. I want to see what Greek mythical being I can destroy next with Kratos, but I also like his story overall. He's just a simple yet vaguely complex character because he just doesnt give up and killing cannot be his only reason for rising from the dead numerous times. Unlike most other characters he has the burning will to execute his goals and endeavors and for that he stands higher than most videogame characters. Kratos despite his bloody and ash riddled exterior is the personification of persistance and determination to reach your goals and seeing them through to the end.

How can he be a complex character when every iteration of GOW , kratos gets fooled teh same exact way  over promise that never stands true when he competes the task asked byt he gods. I mean wouldn't kratos learned from mistakes after the first two games?  The only reason why they have been so many GOW games because Kratos is stupid gullable chracters that naked women  and tits can sway him in doign everythign which leads to him raging and killign everypne. 'personification of persistance and determination to reach your goals and seeing them through to the end." HOWS that work when he causes thes goals to happen. if he was smart enough he should have said no and not get persuaded by teh gods knwoign that thye can never keep his promise. Can't say much about ascension as i haven't finished the game yet. 


I never said he was the worlds greatest detective or multidimensional character. Kratos is not Odysseus, but yet hes found ways to survive the smarter of Zeuses more popular demi-god sons. Kratos is smarter than Hercules by default. God of War 3 shows exactly what the greeks said that huberis will be your fall no matter how smart or great you think you are. This can be said for the chase between Kratos and Hermes. He chased him for god knows how long until he finally cornered him and cut off his legs. It shows what kind of man you're dealing with. You see, Kratos isn't dumb he was a war general for the Spartan Army who soon follows his deity roots and becomes a god. Kratos solves puzzles and got out of Hera's labrynth where she assumed he'd be trapped forever even in death. He escaped Hades three times which not even gods are allowed to do with the exception of Hermes and Persephone in particular. Hermes is a special case and a trickster at that and Kratos served him his end well. If Kratos is gullible than a whole lot of people in the real world armed forces are as well. He's  trained to take orders  but when hes off the leash hes seen as a mad dog as any train military operative who goes on a killing spree would be seen as. As for the promise, Spartan soldiers died and paid tribute to their gods, no one is above them. If they say they can get rid of dreams you do the  math. A gods power can at times be dependent on the worship of those beneath them. What would any greek hero who couldnt get rid of bad dreams do? Go find a god that can take the bad dreams away. Its as simple as that.

hahah you know thats kratos stupidity that got him there three times. He could have easily avoided it if he din't fall from same trick thinking he willget what he wants from teh gods if he perform teir task. He got waht he desrve for beign dumb. because of his stupidity , we are getting flooded with GOW games.

Every Spartan solider mustve been stupid to you then because they had a tough as nails get cut and keep moving mentality. Those soldiers were bred to keep moving and keep destroying. You're not saying anything, just hes dumb, not providing an argument at all. This is stupid.

It feels liek their insultign their fans because they can't be bothered in creating a proper story instead of reusign he same plot lol.

Wat else do you do in GOW aprt from seeing him rage , kill eevrythign that stand in his way and sex minigames. We saw that in most GOW titles.  The worst part  only in america would you find an american hero, that is able to kill immortal gods lol.

Um..lets see puzzle solving, platforming, QTE, use items to find treasures, gather magic and grow to be strong enough to beat the final boss. The way you talk about it theres no wonder you hate it. It has a large focus on storytelling unlike any other Hack N Slash game out there which basically puts it in another league in terms of multiplayer.

 

"Hahah puzle solving. The puzzle solving in the game si so easy  that  primary school kids can solve it. It what not worthy to mention as it doesn't require any thinkign or skill to solve it. As for QTE there so many other hack slash that does it jsut as good. Platforming ,, you got to be kidding right. That and the sotry are the worst aspects of the game. Reviewers complaoin how terrible it is nad not very responsive.I can name so many other games liek DMC which is " miles ahead of any GOW games in all aspects that  you mention. Story in GOW is pretty much non existant  and very basic. DMC for example has a strong focus on story and tells a far better one to boot.

He doesnt care about his life just his revenge, hence why he takes so much risk. He's taking revenge on their gods for THEIR huberis and thinking they can get away with destroying peoples lives regardless of whether Kratos is related to them. Kratos did give his life to give hope to the world. The first game was the beginning of a trilogy, he didnt need to kill himself. Kratos knew his power wasnt absolute which is why he gave himself to Ares if he saved his life and Ares gave him the blades of chaos. Since when did Kratos ever show any form of Huberis? hAHAH and you call yourself a GOW fan. Kratos has shown huberis. You sir need to play GOW 2 again. Huberis by kratos is shown there. The intro in GOW 2 describes how Kratos behaves like the god of war. On top of that , arrogance is clearlly a personality trait of kratos . That my friend is huberis. haha you are making me laugh with your lack of intelligence. The only reason why kratos risk his life and does revenge because he puts himself in that situation. He was stupid enough to belive that if he carried out the task by teh gods, he would be granted what he wanted.  He did taht for at least three games. COme on hwo gullable and stupid can one be .If it wasn't because of his stupidity , there wouldn't be a need so many GOW games.

Which 300 movie were you watching because King leonidas was fighting to save his city and people not for revenge. Thats a completely different mentality mate.
