By the way MGSR numbers are pretty close to the DMC first month numbers from last month. Would be interesting to see how it will do

I swear Platinum can't seems to make a successful IP no matter what...I mean this game has MGS attached to it!

DmC sold less than Ni no Kumi in second month... less than 50k... I think Rising can do a little better but not over 60k for the second month... in case bad sales in US (great in Japan at least).

yeah Japan saved its ass really. Well depends on how well it did in the EU...doubt it's that much better. Can you imagine if this game did not have the Metal Gear part to help it out?

If the final game is anything like the demo MGR would be a typical platinum game. Fast fun (well kind of in this case) gameplay but absolutely booooooooring environments and atmosphere. Meh without Mikami I don't care much for their work anyways

I finished the game yesterday and that´s exactly my opinion about it.

I'll also add I've been noticing PS3 slowly gaining on 360 for a while now and have been wondering if PS3 will actually beat 360 on a NPD report in 2013.

It will I'm almost sure of it unless 360 gets a huge price cut. Like a 100 dollar price cut

haha I KNEW IT! I hope they understand this going forward. Gameplay is the most important for sure but when a game lacks in atmosphere, story and other aspects so does the appeal of it.

@Ben: How's the GOW:A numbers looking?

if we are this out for the US does it mean euro is out too,unless i am missing something it is a fair way down on what is being sold

nintendos numbers confirmed major undertracking for everything in Europe as well. Ps3 360 gap is less than a million

Out of interest (if you can say), would you be seeing something similar in Gamestop too (a gradual decline in the ratio of sales between the PS3 and Xbox 360), if you're basing this statement on the recent NPD reports? Or are you saying that, just within Gamestop, you've been seeing a similar trend?

Also, I´m really enjoying Sly Cooper, far more than I thought I would.I had never played a Sly game before, and it´s being a nice surprise.I´m positively surprised it charted, my contribution is probably there :p

That's what they need to do. They never did do a price cut during the holidays, which was just stupid. Surprisingly their sales were still pretty good worldwide. With a $100 price cut they would have done at least 15% - 20% better. I think (and hope) they will announce a price cut at the E3. They need to push as much of that inventory out the door before the Next XBox launches.

You should pick up the "Sly Collection" http://www.gamestop.com/ps3/games/the-sly-collection/78155

Well worth the price. I just started playing the first game not to long ago.
