They don't compete much with another because they have separate fans and demografix.

And the little cannibilization that exists will be annuled by the synergy effect - namely that next-gen multiplatform gaming will have a strong start thanks to a simultaneous console launch.

Yes Andre, but even though the PS4 and 720 have what Nintendon't, they are still competing against each other for control of that distinction. Not to forget they have the 360 and PS3 still around to weigh sales down.

360 and PS3 competed with eachother on like every front all gen long and both did great relatively and sales speaking. 360 and PS3 sales are declining fast, and the people who are buying those in 2013 will never be the early adopters anyway.

All I know is, after RROD and YLOD,

I won't be buying until a slim model or something comes out.
I know some others will feel the same way.

Regardless if you have both PS360 already, you'll likely buy one over the other due to preference for first party content and/or other items like price/bundles etc.

This holiday will be epic I think.

You'll see crazy low-prices for PS360/Wii and crazy price wars between WiiU/PS4/NXBox based on bundling.

Depends on which is cheaper, and has better marketing + has more games and more extra features other than just being a gaming console.
