its still greek mythology , and its when the world end and the earth stops... ( Like how Kratos did in God Of War 3) 

the souls of the dead are devided by three, one goes to tartarus (the evil ones) , one goes to elysium (the good ones) and the rest goes to asphodel, the ones who are neither good or evil.

I'm going to go and guess the next game is going to be about that Journey , and its going to be more "Lush" , and is going to go from Tartarus to Elysium (Like dante's inferno went from hell to heaven)

but even with that , I still don't get why the picture looks like a tv screen , damn those greeks were technologically advanced.
