Demon Souls was third party, though Sony did help fund and develop it.

Journey was also third party.

Same with Iron Brigade.

Did you  mean exclusive original IPS?

I'd guess Uno wasn't first party either... though I suppose i can't be sure on that.  Uno though i think is Hasbro.

Edit: Oh and Torchlight... which I own the sequel of on PC... i'm confused in general now.

- Demon's Souls is first-party... Sony owns the IP
- Journey is first first-pary... Sony owns the IP
- Iron Brigade is third-party.

That still doesn't make sense though because prof is specfically trying to compare first party studios.

"Since we've had so many lists lately, I thought I'd make another one comparing the two studios. Obviously left out Nintendo since Nintendo easily takes the cake unless I trolled and used the wiiU :D"

Does explain why Dark Souls is Dark souls though instead of Demon Souls 2.

Pretty sneaky on From Softwares part.

The OP said first-party IPs... so Demon's Souls, Journey, etc are first-party IPs... Sony have the rights over it.

Now if you filter per first-party developer then you have a little completely different.

You can say whatever you want, but you don't have Onechanbara: Bikini Squad on PS3! *Runs away*

That reminds me Kagura is yet to be released in the west. :(

I did not know that there was an Onechanbara fan in this site ^^

1 Little Big PLanet 95 1st party
2 Uncharted 88 1st party
3 Resistance 86 1st party
4 Super Stardust HD 85 1st party
5 Infamous 85 1st party
6 Warhawk 84 1st party
7 Dyad 82
8 Modnation Racers 82 1st party
9 Singstar 82 1st party
10 Echochrome 81 1st party

2 Journey 92 2nd party
3 Ico Collection 92 Not even an original IP
4 Demon's Souls 89 3rd party
6 Heavy Rain 87 2nd party
7 Pixeljunk shooter 87 3rd party
8 Flower 87 2nd party
19 PixelJunk Eden 80 3rd party
13 Everyday Shooter 83 3rd party
11 Hustle Kings 81 3rd party

You are making confusion... the devolper is second or third-party but the IP is Sony first-party.

Journey, ICO, Demon's Souls, Heavy Rain, PixelJunk, Flower, Everyday Shooter and Hustle Kings are all Sony first-party IPs.

The title says 1st party.  none of these are first party, and ICO isnt even a original IP.  That is a remake of a PS2 game.  Halo wars is also questionable for an original IP and if it is then Forza Horizon should be on the list.  This list is screwed up at the moment.  No offense to the OP but 1st party means games developed by 1st party developers.

Yeap... pretty smarty from From Software... only Sony can use the Demon's Souls IP so they have to go with Dark Souls.

Yep. The dev is second-party while the IP is first-party (developed by second-party ). I didn't know Game Freak was second party :O

But a First-Party IP from a Second Party Dev (What a mess!) is exclusive to the company where the IP is, or it can go multiplatform?

Always exclusive, but the dev can create other games for other platforms (if they're not bound by contract with the publisher :o)

Well, then those games fit OP's comparison.

The title says first party original IP... not developer.

I agree with you about ICO and Horizon BTW.

Title says 1st party original IP. Thus, most of the games on the PS3 list are correct, while most on the 360 list aren't.

I looked up the Sony list myself and no it is not mostly right.  I couldnt find any info on Dyad so i left it.

And i know for a fact MSFT's list is screwed up majorly.  Mark of the Ninja and Shadow complex for example are 3rd party games.  Shadow Complex is developed by EPIC and idk who develops Mark of the Ninja but i know it isnt a 1st party developer.

I like out how you specfically cut out the part where i quoted him specifically saying he made the list to compare first party stuidos.

Edit - Added in case you just missed it... and it got edited out somehow.
