Ya....rarely do these games climb. Itll settle on a 78 or something.

Somewhat expected IMO. Gears of War Judgment will be in the same range.

I disagree.. I think Ghost of Sparta is the best SP in the series and look at the meta it got. 

Fact of the matter is reviewers are complaining due to the game being in the same setting (greek mythology) ..and having a more grounded sp campaign compared to GOW3. I absolutely loved GOW3...but not for the story. Story wise it was pretty meh

I assure you a lot will think Ascension is the best in the series. Go over to GAF and you will see a clear indication of the following =>

Lower meta scores generates a higher vocal minority that praises games

and vice versa

Higher meta scores generates a higher vocal minority that pisses on games

 

There are exceptions however :P

well you have to understand that it really is at times called for. Some of the more well rated games this gen has been rated based on hype and not the actual quality....I mean the complaints the reviewers are making are rediculous. In general the gaming media seems to be extremely jaded nowadays and it shows unless doritos are involved lol

And the meta didn't generate the opinions and you can't just dismiss them like that. Heck I don't think people thinking Ghost of Sparta is the best SP in the series is the minority at all. I think all this tells us is that there's a major disconnect between gamers and those in the media

This will be very interesting to see. I can see it getting higher due to the fact that it is more ..modern than God of War.

I think it's not a disconnect but a rather expectation thing.

You go in expecting a 79 God of War? Omg mind blown -> this was AMAZING, what were they smoking?

You go in expecting a 92 God of War? This was good yeah.

No because Halo 4 is just that. "4". It's how the booted up a whole new trilogy. 87 is far from bad though.

Isn't the game a prequel? so technically this game is part of the main series, just doesn't have the number "4". Kinda like Zelda which the main games in the series do not have any chronological sequence. 

Given the nature of the game most people will not look this as a spin-off, is part of the main series and it should be treated as such imo. The game will probably sit in the low 80's range which is not bad imo. Some gamers today think that anything below 90 is bad, which is completely stupid.

To save face, I hereby declare GOW Judgement will not score in the 90s. It will settle as a low 80's game.

Hype level set by the Xbox Republic leader. Damage control can only be applied to us if the game also lands in the 70s.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

The reviewers saying it's the same GoW games with no innovation when it is the first with a online MP component makes me thinks WTF?
