Why does EA do this? Are they controlled by a bunch of robot AI's devoid of human emotion? 0_0

Had a similar thing happen to me a year or so ago, where I bought a game off origin that didn't work and attempted to get a refund. (Although the same game works fine on Steam 100% no problems, go figure?)
After a few months of fighting with EA and them referring me to their "No refunds" policy I took it to Australia's Consumer Affairs, because in Australia if a product is faulty or not to expectations you are entitled to a refund, that is the law and no company regardless of how large or what they write in EULA's... Cannot override your basic consumer rights regardless of the region you are located within.
In the end once I took it to consumer affairs it took only a couple of days to get a refund.
However the difference here is that EA is also "false advertising". :P
Just don't buy EA games in future, vote with your wallets, it's the only way they will improve.

Well, Ever since EA has been asshole with the Wii U, And now this? I'm definetly not buying another EA game... Atleast till Battlefield 4 comes out lol
So I don't want to add more pics... but there are numerous reports that this essentially same convo has happened with many SimCity purchasers.
EA: Sorry, you can always ask for a refund.
Consumers: We want refunds.
EA: We said you could always ask for a refund, not that you could get one!

I like when people act sensationalist and don't read WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.
EA promised refunds to those who had not utilised pre-order bonuses + activated codes on Origin. THIS GUY DID. THEREFORE HE DOES NOT GET A REFUND.
Not to say the chat went well, but seriously.
1. guy pre-orders games.
2. uses pre-order incentives
3. activates game, despite all the issue going on
4. gets mad theres issues
5. demands refunds, despite activation.

I think we all know he installed the game fully. But that is no excuse. Its a digital game tied to origin. Simply delete the game and any pre-order bonuses from the account and refund.
