Playing Spore again after finishing Darksiders II.
Reminded me why I loved this amazing game so much; booted my old save, saw that I had an empire that spanned almost all the outer arms of the galaxy (except from the Gorx planets) and pretty much swimming in money XD.

whelp that is the HotS campaign done and dusted, Hard mode really wasn't all that hard even for me so that means it must be Easy mode lol. Can't imagine how much of a pushover very easy must be lol. Writing reamins poor throughout but the game design remains of a high standard, and I had fun with the game to be sure. I guess I should go into a bit of multiplayer some time to help get my monies worth (tho the campaign is quite meaty for an expansion).

I will still probably end up getting Legacy of the Void at or near launch despite all my problems with the games so far. The remain the best RTS campaigns since WC3 and lets face it most game writing sucks anyway. That and I am a sucker with no impulse control...

Also it looks like I am talking to myself again lol

I know EA is a touchy subject for gamers in general. But the free games for those who purchased SimCity (which from what I understand they'll still honor it as long as it's purchased by the 25th..though you might want to check the FAQs since it is EA).

I got Battlefield 3. I was tempted to get Dead Space 3 instead but opted against it since I've never played the other 2 and everybody else I know opted for Battlefield 3.

Good choice, Battlefield 3 is the sole reason I have Origin at all. The game is actually good enough to make me decide to suffer with Origin and that says a lot, there is no end to the hatred I have towards EA and their shitty solutions and customer treatment.

Whatever you do, don't get warfighter. *Shudders*
Ass Effect 3 wouldn't be a bad choice, lots of free DLC for it too.

I thought offering SimCity 4 as an option was pretty funny

I personally think that it's their alternative to actually allowing SimCity to be offline for gameplay. :P Sad thing is, I probably would have gotten that if I didn't get it for free during the great exploit of Origin 2012. :P

That wouldn't be the same exploit/stuff up ubisoft had? Where they gave me a copy of every single game for free? ;)

So anyone pick anything up in the Steam indie sale? I only got 1000000 myself, it's ok if you are into that kind of thing. Anyone who hasn't already should pick up Reccetear.

I will probably pick up Strike Suite Zero as well.

Well, i'm thinking about switching laptops in the coming months, not that my laptop is not keeping up with the current standards, but since I recently got some money to spend, I want to future-proof my gaming setup.

What do you guys think it's the better option?

- ALIENWARE M18x R2 7970M Crossfire (i7 3820QM 2.7 / 3.7, 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz, Dual ATI 7970M, 1TB HDD RAID0, Blu-Ray Combo)
- CLEVO P370EM SLI+ (i7-3840QM 2.8/3.8 GHz, 32GB DDR3 1600Mhz, 2xNvidia GTX 680M, 1x SSD 120GB SATA3, 1x 750GB HDD 7200, Gravador Blu-Ray)

Those two are in the same price range, but there's also the more expensive CLEVO P370EM EXTREME (Extreme i7-3920XM 2.9/3.8 GHz, 32GB DDR3 1600Mhz, 2xNvidia GTX 680M, 3x SSD 256GB SATA3, Gravador Blu-Ray) at about 1000€ more, but I don't think the processor and the 3 SSDs justify the price jump.
