Yeah. I can hardly believe the dismal sales VGchartz has for that game. It must have sold more, right?

OT: I forot to mention Umihara Kawase(SNES, PS1, PSP) and DK: King of Swing(GBA). Both are platformers unlike anything else I've played, and I highly recommend them. King of Swing has a sequel on the DS, as well, if I'm not mistaken.

Sonic 3 & knuckles.

One of the best games of all time in my opinion. I played it countless times ever since it released. Sonic 2 is pretty good aswell.

People seem to moan about them, but i actually like the NSMB games.
I also like side scrolling beat em ups like Streets of Rage, Final fight, Revenge of Shinobi, Golden Axe, TMNT.
The pick of the most recent sidescrollers has to go to Trine 2 on WiiU, that game is beautiful.

Super Mario Bros. 3 and Sonic 2 are the obvious answers but I always loved Gremlin's Zool too.
