I think both are unncessary. Call me a fanboy or whatever but I say Sony has the right idea of linking your real identity to PSN with PS4.

I despise both with a burning passion and their designers should spontaneously combust. Totally unnecessary and ruin every game they appear in!

That said I think the Mii's are creepier.

Some people need a cartoon representation of themselves to feel cool.  Mario being awesome isn't good enough.  They need to feel like they are awesome.  Let's face it though, avatars are pretty much the same thing.

lol  I agree.  They are both pretty useless but I do enjoy both.  You have a lot more customization with avatars so I enjoy those more.  I'd like Miis too if they made them look better.  People who like Sims games knows what I'm talking about lol  I've always like creating my own little people haha  I kind of hope Sony adds there own too.  Now I know they have PS Home but it didnt really take off to well so i hope they make one a little better.  Home 2.0 haha
