The Metal Gear games have aged really well (I am assuming you are talking about 2 + 3?) Even MGS1 which I got on PSN is not that bad

Thanks guys, I'm going to buy the HD pack and play the first one on an emulator. Now I just need to find someone with a ps3 to play mgs4 and get the full experience. I know the prof lives pretty close to me but I doubt he'll let me borrow his system :P

It is a good idea, is a great series and MGS3 is a fantastic game even by todays standards. Your only problems would be that you won't be able to play MGS 1 and MGS4. If you plan to jump on Rising too, not playing MGS4 would be a problem since Rising follows the events of MGS4 and expands the effects of the history of that game.

the best of all will be Ground zeros and Phantom pain
