see the thing is, when you read something that does offend you, its really hard to try to defend youself. personally on the interenet i do manage to ignore the things that offend me, but i understand that some people cant. and since we are on the forum that does have rules against people offending others users might not accept that on here.  but just like me they didnt know that that feature does exists, though its probably their fault to not have messaged a mod disccussing the matter. 

my point is that those people do have a point of view and its quiet understandable

Generalising about fanbases based on thr actions of a few. Every 'side' on here has their own ridiculous extreme posters, but they do not generally represent the majority. I think every community here - on the whole - is great.

Claiming neutrality. It's a noble idea, but everybody is some way inclined. Just embrace it.

Also the database here is beginning to annoy me a bit. It feels neglected. And it's impossible to get anyome to make changes based on NPD data, apparently!

This does annoy as well. You just can't have an intelligent discussion with such people.  What's just as bad is when they pretend that they are "neutral".

Although I take part in them I agree that politics and religion should be banned from this site. Sometimes these discussions can get a bit heavy and such personal things should not discussed on on a gaming site IMO.

I added IMO because for the love of god I can't figure out how adding this at the end of a sentence can offend anyone. There is just too much other crap in life to get annoyed about.

i agree, except that one fan base, we all know who i am talking about, that fan base sucks!

@bolded, thats very true, the sad part is a lot of people on here are really awesome, yet people on here would automatically hate another just for not liking the same console they like, for example one of the really great users on here who i really enjoy talking to is DanneSandin, yet a lot of sony fans are willing to hate the guy because he likes nintendo. 

@underlined and thats a problem with the interenet, not just gaming forums. go to gsmarena ( a website about mobiles) and listen to the trash talk people say in the comment section, its actually a million times worse than here


Yeah he is pretty cool.  Im pretty sure he plays on multiple consoles though if im correct? Yeah mobile fans are pretty bad.  Personally I like Windows Phones but im not going to go ranting towards other people who like IOS and Android phones.  

But yeah we are on a game website but people whine about which company is the best lol  I actually find it amusing how some games get so much criticism on forums yet they are the most popular ones.
