Gears of War 4 cöming to Playstation 4 would cause meltdowns from the Xbox fanboys for sure. I think Microsoft should fight for the exclusivity.

Who cares.  The writer was just stating that it would be interesting IF they brought it to the ps4. It's not like he said that it was 100% coming to ps4.  Yes we know that MS has a contract with Epic, but it seems to me Epic doesn't want to be stuck with MS.

Maybe Microsoft cancelled the deal when they saw Gears of War Judgment's pre-orders and decided to not pay millions of dollars on a game that won't bring in the cash ;o

Contracts can end and not be renewed.
Epic owns the IP and probably had a contract for 3-4 Games for the 360.
What if they couldn't find an agreement for a new contract and EPIC said "No we want to expand the franchise" ?
And the speculation always said that Cliffy B wanted Gears to go Multiplat a long time and so said some others at Epic.
The possibility is there if Microsoft isn't convincing enough.

And we have seen contracts getting broken in this Gen all the time or how "Ultra Exclusive NEVER on other platform" Games suddenly came to other platforms.
The Bungie Game "Destiny" was rumored a long time to be 360/720 Time Exclusive and even reports from Activision showed that and now the PS4 is getting the best version.SquareEnix broke the contract for Final Fantasy 13 with Sony cause Microsoft paid enough including the fee for breaking the contract.
There is always the option for 3rd Party to just break contracts if enough money is involved.

@ Gears - I really don't care.The first game was fun cause of the new experience.The 2nd already got boring and 3 was just completely uninteresting.Judgment won't even carried by its own fanbase as it looks like.
Would probably just be a nice punch from Sony into the face of M$ if it would happen.

For me Gears is no where near as important as Ninja Gaiden or Mass Effect when they crossed over. It if comes over that's fine, but I don't see myself buying it since I lost interest after the first game.

It would be foolish for Epic not to continue with the series. Epic games UC series was dying and had been for many years. Quite frankly, MS and Gears saved them. 

Gears is very overrated but I'd buy the trilogy if it was released.
