I can only imagine that your Fire Emblem thread will push out 1,000 posts after you get it. :-p^

Well it's already pretty close, no?

TBH I'm not too fussed anymore. I had the Xenoblade, Monster Hunter Tri and the Olympics threads which all hit 1,000 posts so I've sorta done that now. I just set up that thread so there was a place for everyone to discuss the game, because it's pretty deep and tactical.

Corrected. You and Man Bear hiJacked the Olympics thread. You did the Zelda thread as well right?

I am on the look out for an extra new Xenoblade copy at a game store. Fingers crossed. Used is super expensive now!

I just went to a store that had 4 new copies. All at discount price.

Xenoblade, because I don't like SRPGs as much even though Awakening is an excellent game.

I could never get into the Fire Emblem franchise. Xenoblade on the other hand scratched that classic JRPG itch I had for quite a while.

Fire Emblem.
Xenoblade looked crisper though. FE had a better story and music imo and is more addicting

FE has better story and music than xenoblade? Howly shiet man!

I enjoyed it more, It's my oppinion. I grew more attached to the characters.

Well that one is understandable, I really felt attached to the characters when I played sacred stones. But the story in xenoblade was really good imo, so I'm going to be surprised if FE has a better one, and the same goes for music.

I'm very hyped for FE for the moment, I'm really hoping it won't let me down.

Let me give you a rundown of my opinion

Story-Xenoblade. Awakening's story is a tiny bit weaker than Path of Radiance.

Gameplay-Awakening. Love the fact that they changed up the formula. Xenoblade kinda suffers from bad AI, grinding at times, and somewhat lack of options.

Characters-Awakening by far. The best character development I've seen from a Fire Emblem game yet.

Visual appeal-Tie. Fire Emblem has better Graphics and the 3D is used beautifully. Xenoblade has better artistic design and a great color scheme.

Music-Xenoblade (Hue). There are a couple good songs in Awakening but only 1 REALLY stands out. Xenoblade OST is just flawless.

Replayability-Xenoblade. Gotta give it to Xenoblade here because of the sheer number of sidequests, superbosses. Fire Emblem has a lot of stuff to do post game as well, but mostly DLC based or grinding support convos.

Value-Tie. Both these games offer a massive amount of content for the price.
