btw-most people I know who play shooters are very peaceful and I think your conclusions are wrong in anyway.

There's actually a simple explanation for it...

Nintendo fans sometimes ARE in the younger demographic than normal, but a lot are industry veterans who have seen (and lived) a lot of the history of videogames for themselves.

There is a fair chunk of the Sony market that Sony drew in with their original market aim (ie. make the console target 21 year olds and the other age groups will follow. Of course, this included a lot of kids at the time, perhaps wanting to be seen as grownups at the time. These kids are only in their late teens/early 20s now, and are most likely where you see a lot of the hate towards competition..

Yeah, this thread was a mess from the get go. Generalizing other fan bases like that is not gonna fly.
