As usual per VGchartz, trust anything positive about MS and xbox to be promptly put down.

7 + year lifespam before replacement is very impressive, Sony should be ashamed of themselves for announcing a next gen console first. that plus the fact that Sony just don't know how to make a profit, In my eyes, they have failed.

With 360 software and attach rate by far the strongest on all platforms, MS should be very proud of what they have achieved. Whether they continue this, who knows.

Sweet cheeks? Well the majority of sales come from the US you know and that's where it counts. If Microsoft didn't put Europe and Asia on the backburner they'd be leading there too. 360 still leads the PS3 worldwide in hardware and a huge lead in software sale. Give it up, Sony fans just can't acknowledge defeat.


Are you really that stupid? world wide is where it counts, 360= this gens slowest selling console world wide, The still leads in software sales because because of its 1.5 year head start, 360 is "barley" ahead in sales and will be overtaken before the end of the year......how about its time you give it up?

Xbox 360 isn't the slowest selling worldwide. It beats the Nintendo Wii and Wii U combined in worldwide sales, and it's kept up with the PS3 pretty well even through the RROD days, and PS3 price cuts. When they launched has nothing to do with it. The Xbox had a 1.5 year lead over the Wii too and it ended up selling more than both 360 and PS3. The fact is they both have sold about the same amount of hardware but yet Sony has a deficit in software sales. Stop making pathetic excuses for why the PS3 isn't winning this gen. Sony screwed up, accept it.

It won't be overtaken because when the next gen PS4 and Xbox 720 launch, sales for the Xbox 360 and PS3 will start declining bringing this gen to a close. 

i get it, your joking now right? last time i checked the Wii is at nearly 100 million sales, and the 360 is at about 75 million.....

This generation out of the 3 consoles wii ps3 and 360, the 360 was the slowest at reaching 70 million, despites it's extra year on the market, ps3 did the same amount of sales in a smaller time.....making the 360 this gens slowest seller...... im not saying ps3 is winning this gen the Wii obviously has already, sony will be second followed by the 360

How about providing a rank on profitability this generation. I think we know where the ps3 stands... moving forward a little ... 2012 onwards I would say that the 360 is the most profitable... True business success is about profits. I do not see Sony making huge progress in this regard and the picture isn't all that rosy for The big N moving forward even further....That can change of course but I think the Wii U may struggle somewhat when Ps4 and 720 are released.

360 vs PS3 is too close to call, I'm not saying the 360 will not finish third (although for now it's second), only that it doesn't matter because they are pratically at the same level.

As for the future, we can say that xbox is pretty strong in US and that is not going to change anytime soon. Same for PS and Japan. But EU with the various economic issues and a PS4 price point rumored to be more than €500, I don't know...

Microsoft have been really successful this time round, but 360 3rd party support will probably continue with PS3 support, at least for 2 years
